Well-located & excellent value for money

Hôtel Cap Sim is a traditional small hotel which is really well located just behind the main square (clearly indicated too).
In our experience rooms were clean however it was a little surprising not to have hot water in the hand basin … (the shower was fine though)!
Breakfast was quite amazing: fresh orange juice, omelette, pain au chocolat, fresh French bread and butter - a treat and included in the room price which was more than reasonable. Very helpful smiley receptionist too.
The hotel is not trying to be a five star place and it succeeds as great value for money in such a central spot.

Pretty.

Cap Sim is a charming hotel in the charming town of Essaouira, convenient to shops and restaurants.
Rooms clean although small. Health services a little lacking. Breakfast served a bit chaotic in the lobby. Friendly and present staff

Gloomy, damp rooms

Located in the medina, so little light. The windows overlook the central hall where everyone walks past. You can hear the toilet noises on both sides and above our room. No air conditioning, so no heating. Damp room in December.

Easy walk to view the Mediterranean Sea from the Medina walls. Shopping close by with a flavor of local life.

Due to a fall of a loved one my stay in Essaouira was extended. The staff were very accommodating rooms we’re comfortable.
Rooms kept clean breakfast included. Recommendations to restaurants nearby and laundry service provided. Neighborhood cats decorate the streets. The people live from the heart.

Nice hotel

We stayed there for 2 nights during our visit to Essaouira. It’s conveniently located, only a minute away from the main square. It has some beautiful Moroccan decorations inside. Rooms were clean and big. My only complaint is towels which were limited to two, could have done with more. Breakfast was freshly made and tasted great.
Be aware that cars can’t get to the hotel as it’s located in a small alley. Either you carry your stuff from the taxi stand (5 minutes walk) or hire porters (50 dirham for one trolley).
