Safe Haven

A haven of peace not far from the euphoria of the medina.
A family riad where we eat really well, we were able to taste good bread, mesmens, tagine and couscous. Everything was a delight!
The owner is very nice and always there when needed. In the evening we were able to relax by the swimming pool with a good tea.
For those looking for luxury, this is not for you! The village was devastated following the earthquake and poverty is evident. But the locals are welcoming and smiling so remember to take a little something for the children, it will make them happy

Stay to forget

A large-scale scam:
-humid room
- dust everywhere
- cleanliness zero
-no breakfast, no bones, vegetable cheese,
- Orange juice powder
All at the price of a 4 star,
Overnight stay that does not even deserve 200dhs, at 4 times its price,
I strongly advise against,
I invite the owner to realize the GAP between his prices and his presta,

No road access!

This place has no access to a road. It's a hassle to get there and the place has no charm. The owner is rude and inhospitable. His prices are off the charts. He takes advantage of the fact that you are stuck there with no easy access to the city for more options.
I don't recommend this place!

Disappointing

Location - it is hedged in by large, unfinished concrete buildings. There is no road access. You park and find your way via a steep narrow concrete path between rough buildings. The evening meal was twice the cost of a similar meal eating out in Marakech. There was a 'misunderstanding' over a camel ride, and lots of difficult haggling. Staff seemed to be treated rudely by management. We ended up feeling uncomfortable and very ripped off. Unpleasant all round. Asni has nothing to offer, it is just a modern town. Go a little further into the Atlas and it gets much better.

Lovely family run hotel

This small hotel is in an elevated position with great views. By foot from the main road it is quite a walk but you can get much nearer by car or taxi. From the car park there are two flights of steps.
This is a family concern and they made us most welcome, even their dog, Johnson, who can distinguish between guests and intruders! Amena is a wonderful cook and patissiere .The dining area is cold in the evenings so it is better to wear warm clothes. The bedroom and bathroom were fine although the shower was a little sluggish.
The family, Mohammed, Amena,Hajar and Lina , were very helpful and made our stay very memorable.
