So-so hotel in Zabljak

We stayed in an Executive Suite room. The room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator). It was very large, with a large living room and dining room. Breakfast was OK, but far from great. Parking was free right outside the hotel. It's a few minutes drive to the center of Zabljak and to Durmitor national park. The problem with the room is the terrible smell from the shower drain. The staff tried to fix it, but to no avail. I also purchased cleaning liquids, but the smell just didn't go away. Obviously the staff were fully aware of this problem (reported by others in reviews), but did nothing about it. It's a real shame, because the room was otherwise really nice

If you want to sleep in a gas station

In the bathroom there was a pungent smell v gasoline, not a wink slept. We reported it but no solution, we asked if we could shower somewhere else in the morning that was not possible! All night with the windows wide open!
Very friendly on arrival but if something is wrong no solution... This decrepit / partly patched up hotel is not worth stars. Only bright spot is the garçon / bartender. Ski hotel is NOT recommended.

We got the last available room after a visit to the National Park. It wasn't the best room, as it was apparently the last one not renovated since re-opening after a 6 month shutdown for offseason. What the room lacked, the staff, location, and especially the breakfast, made up for. I was NOT expecting a feast at 8 am but that is what we got. WOW! Fabulous!!
Also, we enjoyed the sauna and pool, which, despite having been closed for the 6 months, we in perfect condition for great enjoyment.
The staff can't repair and renovate the facility overnight but they sure are managing the manageable and making the stay a pleasure. The English spoke was also wonderful and helped us change our entire days planned day and route back to Kotor.

A very peaceful place

A wonderful stay in Žabljak.
Special thanks to Mathia, the manager, and the whole team for the warm and professional hospitality throughout our visit.
The swimming pool is especially pleasant after a day in the mountains: calm, relaxing and very well maintained. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with a tasteful mix of modern comfort and mountain atmosphere.
A very peaceful place, surrounded by nature, with a real sense of care for guests. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back.
