It was an excellent stay. Although getting into Mexico was horrible and destructive to my being...and I will never go back. After 30 or more years the place had nothing to do with it, but it was an horrible experience.

I stepped into the lobby and felt as if I had gone back 40 years.

I saw an old front desk with fixtures that had been repainted several times. There were rather dubious characters in the bar. It wouldn't be my first choice as a hotel, but it wouldn't be my last.
It might be good for a meal, but I can't speak for the security of the place. Ther have been other tales that give me pause.

Great price

Stayed one night at hotel Nelson. Comfortable bed with a shower. $27USD for a room without heat/ac. Great value and felt safe. Accommodating by getting us an extra blanket. I would stay here again while visiting Tijuana.
