Wonderful
After a bad experience in another hotel, Casa57 was a fresh air blow.
Rooms with acceptable space friendly and affordable staff and spoke English.
Piscina is not giant but we caught an Uber and in 30m we were on the beach in Progresso.
I asked for recommendations for a hairdresser that was given to me and was wonderful.
We went to a wedding and we haven't missed anything these days.

A corner to remember
A good place to rest either as a couple or as a family as they have fun in the pool in the 1st. Flat and to the interior of the hotel.everything clean.attention good from what arrivedmonos delivered the antez room of the scheduled time and is food good amenities in the bathroom and spacious shower.of likewise good layers and without noises to be able to rest. It is nice to see how the person who keeps your room clean does his best to keep it. Although he is a slightly older person is very capable and efficient for all rooms. The staff makes every effort to arrange even the smallest detail that occurs, another plus has elevator although they are only 3 levels but well for people with some limitation to climb stairs. Attentive there is always coffee and in the mornings complimentary bread. They serve homemade breakfasts say, cravings type or American type but the young man with great care and good seasoning. Definitely a good place to rest and be away from the center. Except for the rooms that give wing street of the 2nd floor. and upstairs a nice terrace . a nice pool ,terrace and a comfortable and discreet breakfast. And safe surroundings. A good option to visit merida.

You get what you pay for
The hotel is well located close to historic center - walking distance to restaurants and bars .
Checking in is a bit laborious - lots of papers to read and sign,
Room is big enough comfortable size - floors were not clean as windows are open and stuff gets in - faucet in bathroom was very loose.
Asked for extra pillows - they said no - asked for ice - they said no - there are no hangers or hair dryer in the room .
Went down for breakfast - they said no we would have to pay the night before to get it

Horrible service! They first gave us to a room which was fine upon entering but then we saw people’s clothes and shoes. We went back to reception. She said that her colleague made mistake and gave our room away to someone else without putting in the system. She gave us another room which was smelly like hell! I asked her to change or refund. She said its the only room left and she knows its smelly and she was sorry but she couldn’t do anything. She could only put us to another room the next day. She also refused to compensate. It was midnight. We had no local sim card so had no choice but to stay. At night there was lots of noise from boiler/machine so we couldn’t sleep. It ruined our holiday. They changed us to a different room next day but refused to compensate. We had to suffer at our own cost! The location is god and the room after changed was fine. But they made us suffer for their mistake yet refused to compensate! Such a shame for a hotel to behave like this! So if you don’t want surprise or ruin your holiday, try to avoid this hotel!

The pictures that are posted do not portray the reality of the hotel. The hotel is just average, not very clean, found cockroaches upon arrival and there was no staff to clean the up so we had to do it ourselves. The pool area is unkempt and sad looking. The pillows are super uncomfortable, stuffed into too small pillowcases that make them stiff and hard. I was very very disappointed.
