Stayed here during the big fair.

I stayed here during the large annual fair held in the city.
The staff are very friendly and my room was of good size, clean and quiet.
I was very happy with my stay here.
I was a bit nervous what it was going to be like due to the lack of review but it was great.

I wouldn't go back.

The only advantage is its location, close to the center. Otherwise, dirty, there were cockroaches, the shampoo in the bathroom was stuck with paste so it wouldn't be stolen, but the mechanism to serve it didn't work, the WiFi didn't work for a single day, the bed is not comfortable. I definitely feel like I paid a lot for what it is, it seems like a passing hotel.

Good Location, Reasonable Price

Aguascalientes is not exactly on the radar for most gringo tourists, but if you happen to find yourself there I suspect you will be surprised at how much this town has to offer. A reasonable hotel in a good location is the first order of business and the Hotel Colonial fits the bill for those looking for a clean and comfortable mid-range place to stay. It is nothing fancy by US standrards but the recessed courtyard surrounded by two stories of rooms offers a quiet and affordable retreat on one of the busiest (and noisiest) streets in town. Located just a few blocks from the main plaza, this hotel is a good buy for the money.

Good value for a one night stay

The Colonial gets a rating of 4 not for quality but for value for money. It was a stop for one night and was fine – an ideal chance to save some money as the walk in cash rate was very cheap and excellent value. Room was fresh and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no window – only glass in the top of the door – but for one night that was fine, it meant it was quiet and I got a decent night’s sleep.
A square, frequented by resting mariachi players is across the road, the city centre and Zocalo are a short walk to your right. Sanborns on the corner of the Zocalo is a good option for breakfast, as there is nothing in the hotel.

Short walk to center

I wanted to stay at the oldest historical hotel in the city center. The staff wasn't even sure what year the hotel was open. The hotel offers good value for the money, it's a short walk to the historical city center and the Museum of Death. The rooms are spacious, the carpet needs to be replaced, but it's nice and quiet inside. The front of hotel also has a convenience store XXOXXO.
