The staff were great the food was lovely.
We had to get hot water sorted as geyser was not on and the shower was slow at draining. Electric points disconnected. The place needs some maintainance. However I enjoyed my stay because staff were so helpful.

Absolutely horrendous. Never in decades of traveling the world have I come across such an establishment. The staff were incredibly rude and incompetent, and the advertised services (room, running hot water, A/C, taxi service) were not made available or were double and triple charged. Inexcusable service

Decent place for a short stay
We (my partner and I) stayed here for 1 night at the start and end of our trip. It's a nice place with lovely grounds in a nice neighbourhood in Lilongwe.
The people here are lovely, helpful and friendly!
It's no Hilton. The toilet seat in our room was peeling and the door not working but it was nice enough and I didn't expect much more given the fair price. The food was decent enough and the bed was nice and clean.

Suitable for cheap stay in between travelling
My partner and I stayed here the day we landed in Lilongwe before travelling elsewhere around Malawi and the day before our flight home. Our first night here, we did not get a very warm welcome, however we were shown to our room which was pleasant.
We booked the cheapest room with an ensuite and it was spacious. The bed was big and except for the toilet seat being cracked and unhinged, the room suited all our needs. There was wifi and hot water after you turn the boiler on and it was clean.
After trying to flag down staff somewhere in the hotel, we ordered dinner which took about an hour to arrive. The dinner was nice, nothing special and all fine.
Our return trip was better, as we received a much warmer welcome from the manager and the staff which was a pleasant surprise. The water in our room didn't work so we were upgraded to a better room which was more spacious. I'm not sure why but when stepping out the shower, the shower mat was soggy which is not pleasant to step on and the bathroom floor felt a bit mucky. The mat under the sink was also soggy which again, is unpleasant to squelch your bare feet into.
The bar was popular with the locals on our last evening which added a bit of atmosphere, although the dining area was very dim and would benefit from a few more stronger lights. There was a pool which was a nice touch but it was very cloudy and I would not have gone into it as I questioned how clean it was.
For breakfast, again after waiting for a while in front of staff having a conversation, I had to interrupt them and ask if I could order breakfast. Breakfast took around 40 mins to arrive but the eggs, toast, veg and pancakes were lovely and we were given plenty of tea.
Overall a pleasant stay and exactly what we needed.
