Chill out

Very nice Place. Good food , try Pizza .Nice pool.When you need somethink ask for Clement.Rooms are standart .No beers mmmm. bring your owen beers no problem.Nice beach for chillouts .every time again.Zikomo kawambiri Clement.wunderbar

Avoid this place. There are far better options.

I have never written a review like this, but people need to be warned.
We booked this hotel largely because of the pool and lakeside location. When we arrived, not only was the pool unusable, but there was no wifi, our room had no air conditioning, there was little to no protection from the insane amount of bugs invading our room, and the shower didn't drain.
The rooms are not even close to being worth the price they charge and were clearly neglected after many years of little maintenance.
We reported everything immediately. The next morning, the manager responded with excuses and even tried to shift the blame onto us. After a heated argument, they reluctantly agreed to refund our second night so we could leave. However, they claimed to not have any cash and the only option was to wait until Monday morning. We didn't have enough cash to pay for an alternative on Saturday evening, so we had to head back to Lilongwe. The weekend was ruined.
The owners live in Lilongwe and clearly don't care enough to invest ANY money back into the hotel. Absolutely zero maintenance or customer service training.
The best thing about this hotel is the incredible photographer who took the pictures you can see on Google Maps! By the way, those pictures are like 10 years old. Very misleading.
Avoid this place. There are far better options.

One star at best

We were three couples and stayed two nights. Most rooms had issues, door not closing, generator noise, etc. Complained but to no avail
Breakfast was below par and most dishes were served cold to luke warm. Baked beans straight from the can not even microwaved - lol
We took the best rooms supposedly lake front, but these were over looking / obstructed by the restaurant
The guest manager was the only professional person we came across. Dinner order was wrong ( Chicken Biryani instead of Vegetarian), slow service, one bath towel per room and the gardens are not visually appealing

Terrible

First of all the staff was friendly and welcoming and the air conditioning worked, but everything else was not as expected. The bed was hard and squeaky, the toilet leaked water, there was no hot water for showering and the food was terrible. Oh and the water pressure was bad

The lake view is nice. The water is very high right now and so there is no beachfront (which is reportedly the case at most properties). Unfortunately, my room had no hot water (though they tried to turn it on??) and the wifi might as well be nonexistent. The Indian menu options at the restaurant are very tasty, however. Expectations should be kept in check.
