Wonderful!
I said this is one of the best kept secrets. My friend said this is a small hidden treasure. Located just around the corner from the US embassy, Shanghai Restaurant, and Chalet de Roses. Nice! The rooms are big, clean, and bright. The staffs are nice and caring. There are fruits available all the time. And, the price is right!

I don't recommend the Residence Mareva. There are much nicer places to choose from.
Was on business in Antananarivo and was assigned to this "hotel" by my employer. I stayed an the Residence Mareva for more than a month, but finally had had enough, and moved out. The pro's: The 2-person staff is friendly. The gentleman cooks a very tasty zebu w/roasted potato dish and it's quite inexpensive (5000 MRA = US$2.60). But, that's the end of the list. The con's: The street corner location is extremely noisy. Towels are changed maybe once a week (if you're lucky); sheets even less often. We ran out of hot water in the rooms on several occasions, and once or twice, ran out of water entirely (hot or cold). The electricity also went off several times. (The Residence is the equivalent of an American B&B, but it's electrical & plumbing systems haven't been upgraded to support a full house.) The Residence is not staffed after 4 p.m. daily, and not at all on Sundays, so if a power or water problem occurs then, you're out of luck for the rest of the night or weekend. Although the room rate was fixed (63000 MRA = US$32.73), I later learned there were hidden "extras". CNN, for example (the only English channel) was extra 5000 MRA (=US$It's the Chalet des Roses, and I would highly recommend it above the Residence Mareva to anyone. It has a wonderful, onsite restaurant, it's staffed 24 hours a day, with the usual daily maid service and clean towels, has unlimited hot water & power (I've been in it for a month and haven't had any outages), has internet in the rooms, and it's even less expensive (40,000 MRA = US$20.78).2.60) daily. Heat for your room was an extra 10000 MRA (=US$5.19) per day. I left before the landlady tried to charge me for water (which I assumed was next). It wasn't difficult to find a much nicer, much newer, proper hotel right around the corner.

Un séjour de deux nuits avant de rentrer en France qui s'est très bien passé.
Quartier sûr même le soir pour se rendre au restaurant, banques à proximité. Proche commerces.
Literie correcte et personnel discret. Une bonne adresse à prix intéressant.

Très bon souvenir
J'ai séjourné dans cette résidence en septembre 2012, celle ci est très bien entretenue mais surtout idéalement placée, dans un quartier ultra sécurisé et en plein centre ville à proximité des principales attractions de la ville. Le personnel a été au petit soin durant les 15 jours, de la cuisine, la blanchisserie jusqu'à certaines de nos courses.
Je recommande! surtout aux couples, aux familles et aux voyageurs d'affaires.

tres bonne residence pres des ambassades, tres bien situe à 2 pas du centre ville personnel serviable au petit soin prix abordable vous pouvez demander que l'on vous prepare à manger service impecable( lessive courses repassage) gardien la nuit
