Hotel a Fianarantsoa

Hotel a bit 'peripheral, on the grand corniche, but exceptional for environments, cuisine and hospitality. He deserves 10 on all fronts. Especially the food is excellent and at fair prices as well as the rooms. I will definitely return if I go to the area.

Cheap, though not good

Very friendly staff, and a so-so spaghetti, but this place doesn't have much to offer. Cheap, yes. Comfortable, not at all. Also very hard to find. You're much better off staying at the "upscale" Tsara Guest House just down the road. See my review there.

Sweet place

I got in after 9 last night and they were very warm and welcoming on arrival. Even cooked a nice meal for me. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Overall I would stay here again. The owners and staff were a delight and spoke some English.

Great value, view and friendly atmosphere

Simple, affordable and clean place with a privileged view of the city. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We got there quite late and they still where happy to take their van out of the garage in order to make room for our car.
We had breakfast outside with a wonderful view of the city.

Very nice view

We went here because of the few good reviews on TripAdvisor. We had a triple room at the front of the bullring which has a small balcony where you can overlook the city. Beautiful when it went dark.
You can reach the (private) bathroom from the balcony so you have to step out of the room to the door of the bathroom.this was no problem for us but good to know.
The bathroom was quite outdated but functioned well and there was plenty of hot water.
The bedroom was big, the mattress was a bit thin and there was was a sweaty smell from the pillow, think it was a bit old. We told it the day after to the owner and they would take care of it.
We also had dinner at the restaurant which was good and very cheap.
If you go by car, they have two garage boxes.
