Clean, friendly people, has air con

The room and hotel were very clean. The staff were nice, helpful and friendly. There is working air con in the room, I found it quite noisy and kept changing between off and on (as it was very hot) while I was trying to fall asleep. There is also a TV in the room which I didn't use

Pleasant rooftop restaurant and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. Was surprised to learn that A/C was only available at an additional cost of 25000 Ariary (about $5 USD), and there was no fan in the room to make the heat bearable without A/C. The room had two beds in separate sleeping spaces, but the A/C was not powerful enough to cool anything other than the bed next to it. There was an electrical panel just outside the louvered door by the bed, and some circuit on the panel beeped incessantly. It would not have been possible to sleep without earplugs. Shower was spacious and provided multiple showerhead options, but there was nowhere to hang a towel in or near the shower room. Nor was there anywhere to set a bar of soap or bottle of shampoo. The space could be made more functional with the addition of a small shelf, two wall hooks, and an A/C unit in the second sleeping room.

Had a great stay at the Cambria! The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The room was comfortable with AC and had a nice bed. Only thing that caught me off guard was the shower, I had to fill up a big bucket in the bathroom and scoop water out with a cup to wash yourself. No big deal for me but I didn’t know that before getting to the hotel. Overall a great stay and would come back!

Worst stay ever in Madagascar

First day on arrival in the morning, the room got ready on time. After 26h of bus, I just wanted to take a shower and wash my hair from all the dust.. no hot water or even middle warm.. the management said that it is just today as they are fixing the pipe but would be ok in evening. In the evening I had an invasion of bugs in the corridor which remained till the next morning.. as I was travelling with a group, i talked to other people and no one had warm water, despite we asking, that was not the case. With 32 degrees in the room and a fan only turning the hot air, i asked if I could get the remote of the ac and the reply was, you need to pay extra even if you only use it for 1h in order to reduce the heat in the room, really not sustainable.
The remaining days, 5 of them, i never had a warm shower or some friends of mine… in addition, the remote from the tv was missing. For some early sleepers it is nice but I like when coming home at 2-3 am, just turn on the tv and watch a bit.. at the end I paid this hole 100€ which is in the middle of nowhere when I could have been in the center, paying 120€ and avoid the back and forward and have the ac included in the price and better state of the building.
Luckily and the only reason why I staid was the cook who is an amazing cook and person and the ladies at reception and the cleaning ladies which did only their job and were following orders..
All in one, I wouldnt recommend this hotel at all. Dont even understand why it got 7.8 on booking
