stylish, familiar, just great
this ChestNut is located behind the most beautiful door of vilnius (my opinion); the interior derives from an old bar - massive wooden furniture, a phantastic atmosphere. the rooms are big enough but still cozy, the kitchen (as everything else) is extremly clean. the staff is just great, very trustful, nice and funny. the hostel is not located in the very center of vilnius, although you can easily walk. therefore you have some interesting streets and places (a vegetarian canteen!), you probably wouldn't come across otherwise. all in all, i had a splendid time, and will definitely try to come back!

Ok crash pad
Pros:
2 bldgs away from bus station, literally as close as you can possibly get.
(Look for the ‘Tauringis’ sign)
Cleaned every day
Furnishings seem new
Cons
Bus station is a relatively long walk from Cathedral Square
No reception to ask questions of or fix problems (Doors are automated with emailed codes)
Weak/no WiFi signal in far downstairs dorm rooms. You have to use a laptop or walk up to lounge
Downstairs bathrooms are tiny, need more sinks. 1 in particular has a sink crammed directly over a toilet in a configuration you wouldn’t see even in a plane lavatory. It's obvious this space was not originally designed for its current use as hostel
Door to my dorm room difficult/noisy to close all the way despite being new, some bad carpenter work was done there
AC inoperable, poor ventilation even with window opened max, room was overly warm in late night
Overall cons were tolerable because hostel wasn’t crowded, but next time I might investigate some of the other hostels a block down the same street instead.

I dont recommend at all
No space on the dorm

They said reception but actually is no reception at all as I never saw anyone for all 2 days I was there.
They dont know how does it works with hostelworld as they charged me more than it was supposed. So I have to send papers to get reimbursed now because nobody there.
People had to wait an hour because they didnt get the code and nobody hear when they knock at the door.
I will not go there again for sur and I will not recommend either

Great location, interesting design...
The location is great...minutes walk from the old time. The place is nice and clean in general. Modern and automated.
We found a pair of women's underwear in the room. Probably it was missed during the cleaning. Other than that the room was clean. There were no towels in the room, but I called the number and the host directed me to the place where I can get clean towels. I don't think that the luggage room is safe enough. Think in that direction.

Close to the bus station, convenient
Quite convenient, we arrived at night and it was just a few minutes from the bus station. We booked the twin room and it was OK. There are 3 toilets (small, I have to say). Showers are normal. So, at the end it is a good hostel by the price we paid.
