A comfortable stay at Mercure

got to spend two nights at Mercure. As usual group check in so very smooth. Room provided in 2nd floor that is just above reception that is 1st. Rooms are typically designed in corners and using all available space. Even in room mirror so placed as difficult to see. Bed is comfortable. so is shower arae. Lobby area also decided as so many sub parts. Enjoyed breakfast that is good and sufficient. Special mention about Falafal and nice cookies.

Very good choice

I spent two nights here and the experience was very good.
The location is very good, you can walk to the historic center and there are all kinds of shops and establishments nearby.
️ The room was great, clean, well equipped, in good light and very comfortable. Clean and well equipped bathroom. The only dilemma was that the air was on (and cold) and not adjustable, only by remote from reception.
Very complete buffet breakfast, with many hot and cold options, salmon, hummus, eggs, etc.
Dinner very well, they have good buffet cuisine for groups.
Very friendly waiters and reception staff.
10/10

Art Nouveau Elegance Meets Modern Comfort: My Top Pick for Riga!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Mercure Riga Centre! It’s tucked inside this gorgeous 1901 Art Nouveau building, and the location is basically unbeatable—you’re right next to the train station and only about a 10-minute walk from the heart of the Old Town.
Here’s why it really stood out to me:
The Vibe & Rooms: The design is super modern and stylish. My room was spotless, but the best part was definitely the bed—it was incredibly comfortable. Also, a total game-changer: the bathroom had heated floors, which felt so luxurious in the morning.
The Food: You have to do the breakfast. It’s a huge spread with tons of fresh options, and they have a chef who makes custom omelettes right in front of you. It was easily the highlight of my mornings.
The People: The staff were so welcoming and genuine. They actually seemed happy to help with local recommendations, which made the whole experience feel a lot more personal.
If you’re looking for a spot that’s central, comfy, and feels a bit fancy without being stuffy, I’d highly recommend it.

One of the 2 rooms we booked had a blocked shower drain. It was reported but not resolved over a 2 night stay.
The Breakfast Room was ok with an adequate selection of food.
Hotel location very good in terms of transport and shopping options.

Very helpful member of desk staff on my arrival. Room upgrade provided which was great. Good sized room, fridge and kettle and good-sized bathroom. Plenty of space and facilities in the room. Breakfast - a wide-ranging choice of hot and cold food to meet every taste although accessing food could be challenging as the main dining room walkway was where food tables were located and touring parties were present! Days 2 & 3 found the table seating changed - from smaller, individual tables to large circular ones, presumably for the touring parties. Not ideal for the lone traveller. The only other negative aspect was one had to be careful leaving ones seat to collect food as over-zealous staff would take items away that were not finished with: Including food and drinks, simply because one was not seated as they hurried round to clear spaces.
The hotel is ideally suited for walking to the train and bus stations and for sight-seeing.
