Great location, simple hotel
Restart is a simple hotel located next to a sports center but more importantly on the promenade that follows the river into the city, passing by the castle ruins on the way. Breakfast was okay.

Great hotel, very kind, friendly and helpful staff
Very new, spacious and great hotel not far from the city centre, we were amazed by the outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, staff were very kind, professional and extremely helpful, breakfast was also decent and it'd varaity of food. Had a chat with my friends and we all agreed that we should've stayed for one more night.

NOT NICE STAFF
We stayed in a LUX room. We really liked the hotel and the restaurant in it, but!
In the evening, when we were getting ready to sleep with the baby (22:50), they wanted to close the partition between the corridor and the bedroom, fortunately I took the baby in my arms, began to close it, and a piece of wood from the partition fell on my hand, I stood there in shock for 10 seconds, I didn’t understand what had happened, and I looked at my hand and a piece of wood hit me in two places, hitting my hand hard, I stood there for 10 more seconds with wild pain in my hand, and called my husband, who was in the next room with a work friend, and told him to avoid the situation that we were to blame and that you had broken it and owe something to the hotel, and even more so my hand suffered! Luckily it's not a child! I need to tell the reception that when my husband went to talk about this situation, he received a very rude answer “and?”, my husband was shocked, in the end a girl came to us and said that we were to blame, and that they would fix this piece of wood, my husband asked what to do with the hand, because we didn’t take anything with us, to which we were told that it was our fault and we should sort it out) we were so impressed with the hotel, but we were shocked by this female staff, we didn’t even care They gave me a first aid kit to treat the wound, and in the end I suffered through the whole night with my hand, because it ached and was swollen all night.
A very unpleasant situation, according to this woman, I, who weighs 45 kg, pulled the partition strongly and therefore the piece of wood fell! You know, I always treat things that are not mine carefully. And when I was accused of breaking it, also with a child in my arms + receiving a wound from this. I was shocked and didn’t understand why a woman who doesn’t know how to communicate and has no right to work with people works in such a hotel!

Cockroaches and poor cleaning
Dirty, cockroaches in the room.
Now in more detail:
Stayed at this hotel for the second time. Even during my first visit, I noticed that the cleaning of the rooms was poor, and that there was not enough space in the bathroom to hang towels. As a result, they dried it wherever necessary - on the radiator, on the windowsill...
During the second visit, the cleaning was a complete disaster. On the first day, they hung a sign on the door handle asking us to remove the room. When we returned in the evening, no one had done the cleaning. On another day, the cleaning was done, but it was very superficial; they didn’t even bother to make the beds. But we experienced a real shock when, right before leaving the room, we saw a cockroach crawling on the radiator. We managed to shoot a video. We contacted the reception. Reaction: “Yes, this is terrible...” I ask: “What are we going to do?” Answer: “What can we do?!” We apologize." No compensation, no attempt to smooth things over. Just sorry that we stayed in a room with cockroaches.
In general, the hotel does not correspond to its level, I do not recommend staying here.

Nice small modern hotel
We have spent one night in this hotel and we are more than satisfied.
First of all I couldn’t expect to find a really new hotel with modern facilities in Rēzekne. Its location is a bit far from the centre (2.5 km by foot), but there is an open swimming pool (charged separately) which we really enjoyed.
Receptionists were friendly and efficient. Room was spotless and fresh. We were offered a little bit bigger room on a ground floor that a standard so we felt comfortable sharing it with kids.
My only drawback is a breakfast. It consisted of very basic (I’d say poor) selection of dishes and pre-brewed coffee. Breakfast was served till 10am, but they ran out of some of the dishes around 9:15am. Also all buffet was served on a tiny table, which caused additional inconvenience as you had to wait until you can access it.
Overall I am glad we have selected that hotel. I will definitely stay there again, but I will try to find a way to have my breakfast outside.
