Best place near Mombasa airport

I loved the rooms, the quietness and the management. The food was way beyond my expectation. Fresh and tastey. Very accessible to the airport and also to the Mombasa town and the beautiful white sand beaches of the coast. Loved the experience, thanks to the management.

Good service

We booked 1 night as it was a pit stop from arriving in Mombassa and heading out to Malindi.
As our flight was delayed we contacted the hotel to advise we would be later than the final check in time and they were very accommodating.
We took a taxi from the airport and to be honest I was pretty worried about the area the hotel was situated in although this hotel was in my opinion the best hotel in that area and it had security so once we arrived I felt more at ease.
We were shown to our room and it was very basic and could have done with a deep clean but for the money it was ok.
We had a fan and could of paid for air con if wanted. We had hot water and towels and a bar of soap was provided.
Breakfast was also included and was good.
I wouldnt want to stay for more than 1 night but for somewhere close to the airport it's ok.

Perfect stopover hotel

This hotel is in a residential area. The accommodation is simple but great value for money. The restaurant food was simple and cheap and there was a great selection at breakfast.
Would highly recommend if you need a stopover for the train or airport - only 15 mins driving distance

Clean, comfortable hotel very close to airport

We spent 1 night at Coastgate since we had an early morning flight. Don't let the neighborhood put you off - it's a residential one near the main road to Mombasa and in an industrial area. The hotel was clean, the restaurant offered a variety of options with plentiful helpings and good prices, the staff was friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The bed had a fan over it which kept us cool under the mosquito net. The hot water heated quickly! The internet was fast! No alcohol is served so you can buy it outside in a nearby shop if you want some. Airport shuttle costs 1500 shillings and was on time.

Nice Hotel close to SGR station

The hotel is good and clean. Very good welcome by the reception staff.
The rooms are small but have all the necessary amenities though the TV was not clear and the fan was noisy.
Food was okay but restaurant service can be improved.
Very convenient for people traveling on the morning SGR train.
