About four hundred years ago, the present village was built. Over the years, many families in Dana village have moved to the nearby village of Qadissiya in search of better jobs, schools, and housing. The village is now abandoned.

Good choice for Dana

Unique little place that used to be a residence. Beautiful view from our room. Room was clean and we had an en suite (not all rooms do). Food served on the rooftop was good Jordanian food and plentiful for dinner. After dinner some music and dancing if you want to participate. Note there are some stairs to navigate to get to dinner and to your room. No bottled water is provided (most places in Jordan provide as tap water not recommended to drink). If you brought your own water, no cup or mug provided in room even though there was a hot water pot there.

Our favourite place in all of Jordan. Amazing location for hiking and a lovely clean and friendly hotel

If you are coming to Jordan, then make sure you make time to come to Dana. There’s great views, friendly people and excellent hiking trails all around Dana. We feel safer walking the streets here than we do in Copenhagen.
We were lucky to stumble on the Dana Tower Hotel which isn't just a hotel; it's a home away from home and a community of some of the kindest people you will ever meet. We originally booked for one night but loved it so much we changed our plans and stayed for two.
What makes this place so special is its story. The owner has a remarkable vision, breathing new life into a deserted village by restoring the house he was born in and building a hotel that's a part of the landscape. The result is a unique space that feels more like a small, interconnected village than a traditional hotel.
Our room is spacious and spotlessly clean, with a nice bed and a surprisingly high-end bathroom and manages to keep an authentic feel.
Hazem and Salma treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality is what turned our stay into a truly unforgettable experience. We're already planning a multi-day hiking trip in early 2026 with this as our base.

Very nice

The location is very impressive and the owner is an exquisite person.
Dinner and breakfast in the communal tent create a nice sense of conviviality.
The food was typical, plentiful and very good.
Our royal sunset suite was a bit cold, but large, comfortable and with a wonderful view, I think it was the only room with private bathroom and gas stove.
Ok the bathroom with hot water and a good shower, comfortable both the mattress and pillows, good cleaning.
The sunset from above the hotel is wonderful.
Wi-fi takes only in the reception area

Nice hotel, with great rooms. Not exactly luxury.

A nice place in Dana old town. High altitude, so nice and cool in the evening to sleep. A ‘creep trail / sneak through hotel. Nice stairs and nicely situated. Around you see the abandoned homes of Dana, because the village was moved at the time. Delicious
