Quiet Beautiful Onsen Inn with Warm and World Class Service

Instead of staying in the middle of the Kinksaki Onsen which is pretty and fun to walk around in but not quiet and rather touristy, we stayed at this serene traditional inn with a beautiful view of the Maruyama River, a five minute walking distance to the beach and a small fishing village. The owner's family has been there for 10 generations; while the intimate onsen inn is 40 years old.. Well maintained and some renovations were done 10 years ago. We opted to stay in a unique room with our own onsen bath with a view and a small private garden .. It was not during the famous crab season, but the food was fabulous and plenty (live abalone cooked on our table, first quality shabu shabu of the famed local beef from the same stock as the Kobe beef from the same prefecture). The chef-owner was trained in Osaka. The Inn provides free transfer services in and out of the Kinksaki town most of the day and the evening. (5 minutes max car ride). We have stayed at many onsens and hotels in Japan, and the level of service in the country is the highest in the world in general. But Maryuama-so stands out for the warmth and the kindness of the people who run the place.

can not sleep

I think this is a Japanese-style auberge in a wonderful location along the Maruyama River.
The rooms on the second floor have a river view.
The toilet is in the room, and there are three private baths with amenities.
You can enjoy your meals in a private room on the first floor.
The Tsuiyama Crab Course includes crab sashimi, grilled crab, tempura, and rice porridge. The vegetables are fresh and very delicious.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
I've been here several times, but the last time I went, the sash window in my room creaked in the wind all night and woke me up several times.
I was too sleepy to drive for nearly four hours on a lack of sleep, so I took a nap for about an hour at the roadside station "Mahoroba" before finally heading home.
I told the innkeeper that I couldn't sleep because of the noise from the sash window, but he said, "I'll fix it."
I think they should fix it before they make it impossible to sleep.

【良かった点】
・接客が素晴らしい。(到着と同時に、出迎えていただき、荷物を部屋まで運んでくれた。写真をこまめに撮ってくださったなど)
・部屋が清潔で、天井が高く開放感がある。
・夕食どれも美味しかった。満腹感あり。
・お風呂は部屋にはないが、貸し風呂が3つあり、空いていれば24時間いつでも入れる。コロナの時期、特にうれしい。
・夕食は完全な個室でゆっくり食べることができた。
　18時から徐々に電話で呼ばれる→他のお客さんと時差で呼ばれるので3密にならないのがいい。
・旅館近くの橋　渡る際に、「一旦停止」気をつけてくださいということを電話連絡してくれた。
・旅館前にある川で、釣りができる。(1本200円で貸し出しもあり、釣れた魚は夕食で出してくれる)
・城崎温泉の観光地まで送迎サービスがある。
【希望したい点】
・空気洗浄機がなかった。
・朝食時、部屋の布団を片付けている音だと思うが、足音が酷かった。

気配りが素晴らしい従業員さんに感謝

城崎温泉からは少し離れた立地で、夜はとても静かな場所にあります。
リニューアルしたばかりだそうで、小学生の子供たちも、キレイな館内にはしゃいでいました。
私は釣りがしたかったので、裏にある専用デッキは嬉しかったですね。
部屋数６つに対しお食事用のお部屋も別に６つあって、とても広々使えて快適でした。お風呂も３つあり、24時間入れるので便利です。どのお風呂も貸し切り制なので家族で入れるのがいいですね。
ホームページには冷蔵庫は共用と書かれていましたが、各部屋にちゃんと設置されていました。
お食事は魚介が中心なので、お刺身が苦手なら事前に相談に乗ってもらえるはずです。

大満足でした

豊岡観光協会に予算にあったお宿を２件紹介してもらい　いろんなサイトで口コミ等をみてまるやま荘に宿泊しました。
お部屋は全部で６室と小さなお宿ですがオーナーを始め従業員の皆さん親切で終始温かいおもてなしを戴きました。
タグ付き地蟹のお鍋に焼きガニ、天ぷら、雑炊とどれも大変美味しくいただきました。
ゆで蟹３杯はさすが食べきれないのでお持ち帰りにしてもらいました。
お風呂はアメニティも揃っていて使いやすく清潔でした。
ただお湯の温度が少々高い目なのでお水で温度調節が必要です。
お部屋も広く全室禁煙ですごしやすかったのですが禁煙のお部屋が少したばこ臭かったのはお約束を守らない宿泊客がいるためかと思われます。
エアコンの吹き出し部分のホコリが気になりましたが次回までにお掃除されていることを期待しています。
