Best Hotel in UMEDA, OSAKA!!!
It was just a 5-minute walk from Umeda Station, and the design tone was high-quality and tasteful, with a hint of culture throughout. The audio equipment was especially great.
It was a good value stay with easy access not only to the center of Umeda, but also to the local areas nearby, so I could enjoy the various expressions of Osaka Umeda.
Breakfast was served with coffee and bread, so I just ate it as a snack and enjoyed lunch in the city.
Wouldn't it be nice if the room price were a little higher?

It's been fully renovated! It's amazing!
TONES OSAKA was one of the biggest hotel surprises we’ve had in Osaka. Don’t be put off by older ratings online — the hotel has recently reopened after a major renovation, and it really feels like a fresh, modern design hotel.
The interiors are beautiful, with exposed concrete, warm lighting, and a stylish boutique feel throughout. The room was huge by Japan standards, very comfortable, and made great use of the space. The bathroom was also a highlight — the tub was massive and actually fit both of us, which is rare in Japan.
The location is excellent, right near Umeda and surrounded by food, drinks, cafés, breakfast spots, shopping, and nightlife. You can walk straight out the door and be in the middle of everything.
The renovation has been done really well, the staff were seriously on point, and the whole stay felt much more premium than expected. Easily one of my favourite new places to stay in Osaka, and I’d definitely recommend it for couples, city breaks, or anyone wanting a stylish central hotel.

Amazing stay in Osaka
We have spent three nights at Tones Hotel Osaka. It's just a few steps from Umeda Stadium, this minimalist, urban-style building features exposed concrete and an industrial-chic atmosphere with soft, well-placed lighting. It's clear the work of a great Italian architect (Aldo Rossi). Perfect for a family who wants to get around by public transport and explore the entire city without wasting too much time! We have loved everything of this stay, the neighbourhood, the design of our spacious room, the fancy breakfast. We really suggest it for whom wanna a nice place in the city center of Osaka

Quiet Hotel in the center of busy area
It was about 15 min taxi ride from Shin- Osaka to arrive at our hotel, and immediately entering the ground foyer, the clean scent was apparent. Umbrella dryer available.
Took elevator to third floor reception, and though early, we were able to leave luggage and start investigating the area. Coffee/tea/juice available in restaurant area as well as public washrooms if needed.
Check in was efficient. Paid small tax with cash then went up to our room.
Two good sized double beds for 3 travelers. Slippers and pajamas provided. Full front window has a view of Ferris wheel and shops/entertainment area.
Good amenities; in room safe, kettle with tea/coffee, TV, free wifi. Toilet area separate from shower with a tub and sink area.
Free breakfast with stay is coffee/tea/juice and a choice of 8 pastries. Toaster oven provided.

According to the Osaka prefecture Ordinance, the accommodation tax in Osaka City will be revised starting September 1, 2025. The tax will be charged per person per night based on the accommodation fee: 5,000 JPY to 15,000 JPY per person per night: 200 JPY tax 15,000 JPY to 20,000 JPY per person per night: 400 JPY tax Over 20,000 JPY per person per night: 500 JPY tax Some room rates do not include the accommodation tax, and guests may be required to pay it separately at the front desk.
