Japan 26 - Osaka best IHG
The hotel is minutes from Umeda Osaka station, which is only 1 stop away from the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka. Literally at the hotel within 15 minutes of getting off the Shinkansen.
The hotel is welcoming and all staff are polite, respectful and professional. There is a beautiful scent which they use in the lobby, I’m a big fan of the smell at the Sapphire Falls Hotel in Orlando, if you know, you know! This smell is similar and I’m told you can buy it in their patisserie!

Room is amazing, I love these pillows, the bed is comfy. Great sleep. There is a wet room in the middle of the room, it’s glorious, it houses a bath and rainfall shower. Excellent facilities in room, safe, hairdryer, iron & board. Tea, coffee, water or alcohol (to pay for) amongst its offerings of nuts, crisps etc.
We were able to book this as a reward night and therefore the value for money is excellent. This is now our favourite hotel. For context we’ve experienced the Caribbean, Maldives, Vegas, Orlando and it’s hands down the best.

Exceptional Service, Stunning Views & The cleanest Pool I’ve Ever Experienced
My stay at the InterContinental Osaka was absolutely exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel itself is stunning, especially being on the top floor where you can enjoy breathtaking views across nearly the whole of Osaka. It truly feels luxurious the moment you arrive.
The breakfast & dinner was outstanding with a huge variety of high-quality selections, and the entire restaurant team were warm, attentive, and professional. The reception team also deserve special praise multilingual, welcoming, and always smiling genuinely while helping guests with every detail.
However, the highlight of my stay was definitely the swimming pool and spa area. I have stayed in many 5-star properties around the world, but the cleanliness of the pool here was on another level. You can genuinely feel how fresh and clean the water is. I also appreciated the Japanese attention to hygiene and detail, especially the no-shoes policy around the pool area. It was honestly the cleanest pool experience I have ever had, and I absolutely loved it.
A very special thank you as well to the housekeeping team, who were absolutely marvellous. The room was always perfectly clean, and I really appreciated the thoughtful handwritten notes they left for us every day. Their attention to detail and care made the stay feel very personal and special.
I was also extremely grateful that the hotel accommodated me with a late checkout due to my very late flight back to London. Even though I paid for the extension, the team handled everything with kindness and professionalism, which I truly appreciated

Top notch hotel in OSAKA ,INTERCONTINENTAL
Hotel location was no 1,priority for us,next / joining with Osaka Station, mall and lot's of restaurant/ Cafe,the ambience was amazing overlooking the river from our room on the 23rd floor.Room were massive with large bathroom with bath tub and rain shower,the amenities were top notch.The people that worked at the hotel,from Bell boy to front desk and restaurant all were polite and possess " can do attitude ".Very happy with our experience in this hotel then again I guess all Intercontinental hotel is wonderful.

Not a 5 star hotel - the decor and furniture was worn, old and tired and far closer to nice about 25 years ago.
Don't have a big problem but if a hotel is going to charge 5 star prices they need to deliver more then 3 star amenities in the rooms etc.

Good overall.
Room very nice. Toto toilet etc. Yukata good. Club lounge very convenient. Organised two very good trips. Adel bar excellent - good live music. Just a couple of pointers: staff, especially those from Nepal, need training to be able to deal with customers / situations.
