Great location

Hilarys Hotel Osaka is in a great location, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to the nearest train station, making it easy to get around the city. The complimentary welcome drinks were a nice touch and much appreciated. The only downside was the breakfast, which is more Japanese-style than continental, so those looking for a Western breakfast may find the options limited. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it for its location and value.

Great stay

Really good location, 7/11 next door. Clean hotel & rooms. Provided a toothbrush/paste, sponge and also shampoo/conditioner & body wash in the rooms. Room considering we’re facing the road were quiet. Bed very uncomfortable & small but expected that in japan

Hotel ideally located

Hotel ideally located for outings and excursions on osaka.
Staff, pleasant and hearty breakfast for ¥500 Presence of numerous restaurants in the area, as well as an on-site washing machine Konbini, as well as self-service hot and cold beverage dispensers
This hotel is close to a tourist spot, as well as a metro station

No Options for Vegetarians at Breakfast

We stayed at Hotel Hillarys and while the hotel itself was acceptable, the breakfast experience was very disappointing for vegetarians. Breakfast was included in our booking, but there were virtually no vegetarian options available. Most of the food contained meat or fish, and there was nothing clearly catered for vegetarian guests.
For a hotel that offers international accommodation, it was surprising and frustrating that there were no basic vegetarian choices. If you are vegetarian, I would strongly recommend not relying on the hotel breakfast as there is essentially nothing suitable to eat. The hotel should seriously consider adding simple vegetarian options for guests with dietary requirements.
