Beautiful traditional ryokan. Stayed for two nights with the full kaiseki dinners and breakfasts. Meals did not repeat. Staff were incredibly kind. Highly recommend for a traditional Japanese experience.

The staff went out of their way to not just accommodate our needs but anticipate them. I have stayed at hundreds of lodgings in my life and have never experienced such perfect customer service and hospitality.

This was such a beautiful, luxurious and calm home for our stay in Nara. The park with bowing deer and magnificent giant Buddha are less than 5min walk away. The atmosphere is magical and calming.
The Kaiseke dinner is very authentic - there were several dishes my teen would not eat and some I didn’t either - but it was an experience worth having once. Otherwise best to go for a local tavern style restaurant or sushi place for a fraction of the price.
The public bath at the hotel is regular water not Onsen - natural spring - and it’s fine but rather basic.
Nara is a must for any trip to Japan. We booked only one night but wish we could have had two for an even more relaxed experience.

I am enjoying traditional accommodations in Japan for almost 20 years. This hotel is providing a truly premium service. One of the best experience I had.

A true and well located ryokan right next to Nara Park and 10 minutes walking from the Kintetsu train station. Wonderful experience incl the keitatsu dinner experience. Sleeping was ok as it’s more of a cushion than a mattress on the floor
