Spacious Capsule with an Incredible Bed!

I stayed here recently when I visited Arima-onsen and loved the experience. The location of this stay was at the further end of town, so I had to walk 20-30 min to reach here after arriving from the Rokko Arima Ropeway station. Tomoko, who did my check-in, was lovely and welcoming. The rest of the staff were friendly as well. I purchased the cafés’ breakfast set to try it out - it was tasty but the portions were small for the price.
The bed is really comfortable and I slept restfully every night. The space inside the cubicle is the most generous I’ve seen of any dorm bed since there’s a working desk at the end of it, which you can even flip up for extra storage! My only nitpick is that the light switch for the cubicle is at the deep end of the bed instead of outside, so we need to crawl all the way inside just to light up our space.
The dorm have some clanky locker cabinets without locks, but I didn’t use them as they were barely big enough to fit my cabin-sized backpack. I was lucky to be mostly alone during my stay with the few guests who are considerate. The Wifi is fast and the common room is spacious so I was able to work on my laptop without issues. It is also well stocked with amenities and even provide free toothbrushes.
There were only three restrooms, which were shared with the café guests. Even more baffling, there is only one male toilet. It was fine for me because there were barely any occupants when I’m there, but I don’t know how it will work if the hostel is even half full. Well, this is probably the cheapest stay in town so something has to give

Yummmmm

We wanted to have breakfast and inquired with hotel. They shared that the restaurant wasn't open. We sat down in the lobby to search for some other options, when the gentleman at the desk came over and stated the restaurant was open and ready for us. We were greeted warmly by the owner, who informed us she was limited in certain items that morning. No problem for us at all and we ordered our food. Everything was so good that my children ended up ordering second meals.
It wasn't until we had paid and were leaving and thanking her that she apologized for not having a "full" menu but she was actually closed until the hotel called and asked her if she could serve us.
I'm not sure many places offer that level of service anymore, and we are so grateful and appreciative for all she did for us. Thank you so much!!

Super welcoming

I visited this hostel last summer, and having traveled Japan a bit and stayed in a fair bit of hostels, this is by far my favorite one. The hosts are super welcoming and was more than happy to have a chat and share stories. Also the beds were by far the best of any hostels. So much value for money here, thank you again!

Kind hosts and great food!

The hostel is a little out of the way but absolutely worth it. The hosts are very kind and went above and beyond for us which we were grateful for. We were able to leave our luggage there prior to check in and the host helped us figure out a restaurant for dinner AND walked us there to introduce us to the cook. We returned to Brucke for dessert and even received a complimentary drink (Aperol for my friend, red wine for me) which was really unexpected! The twin room had a lovely view of the stream and was comfy and cosy. We loved wearing their quirky yukata to the onsens that evening. The following morning I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast!

Good wine and food with friendly service

I went with my family to eat at the brucke cafe and enjoyed it very much. We had a nice wagyu beefsteak and delicious pinot noir wine. It is a very nice place, nice view, nice people ... I recommend!
To finish the mail a had a delicious tiramisu.
PS to also have good coffee.
