Wonderful place to stay
We were attracted to this B&B because of the vegan aspect. Check-in was a little messy, nearly no English is spoken so you need a little bit of patience.
The room itself is modern and had everything we could wish for. The bathroom is spacious and has a good shower. The breakfast is heavenly. It is so great not having to ponder about everything and just eat because everything is vegan anyway. But also for non-vegans, the breakfast would be a bullseye shot!
The location is a bit of a mixed bag. It was great because we came by car and the center of Syracuse is car free, so being off the island allowed us to park the car easily. On the other hand it was quite a walk to the center (10-15 minutes) so you're not really in the middle of the action. We found it just too far to, for example, have a short rest or drop something off. We're nitpicking though.

Error with the room assignment.
We booked a room with a balcony through Booking, expressly choosing and paying for that category. However, upon arriving in the afternoon, they assigned us a room without a balcony.
When contacting the owner, he indicated that there could be an error with Booking and that he had no record that the reservation specified a balcony. Later he told us that the room with a balcony was occupied by other guests and that we could move the next day.
The situation was uncomfortable for us, since we had paid for a higher category that was not assigned to us. Finally, we requested to cancel the stay and the owner accepted the cancellation and returned the money, which we appreciate.
We do not know the reason for the problem, but we are leaving a record so that future guests can verify that the assigned room matches the category reserved and paid for.

Spacious, clean comfortable room with balcony and aircon.
The room was a good size with comfortable bed, air conditioning and a balcony. The en suite bathroom was fine but the double headed shower could have done with more pressure.
Everything worked well and both the room and bathroom were scrupulously clean. It was nicely decorated in a plain contemporary style. The location was good with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. It is about 15 minutes walk to Ortigia and handy for the Archaeology Park.
Potential guests should be aware that there is one long flight of stairs and two shorter ones to get to the room. There was no information pack for guests which would be useful for travellers new to the area. For instance, details of vegan or vegan friendly places to eat would be helpful.The use of the shared kitchen also needs to be clarified.
The vegan breakfast was fine but a bit more variety would be good. It was predominantly sweet which might not be to everyone's taste, although I appreciate it is normal in Sicily.

In vacanza in Sicilia, trascorriamo 4 notti nella splendida Siracusa! B&B a conduzione familiare in ottima posizione e comodo al centro a prezzo davvero onesto! Personale gentile e cordiale, Massimo mi ha anche aiutato nell’organizzare il “tour” con ottime dritte e info! Davvero niente male le torte della Signora Rita . Camera da letto e servizi sempre in ordine e puliti!

Un’accoglienza eccezionale dei proprietari: due persone meravigliose, disponibili e super gentili.
Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare in questo B&B per tre notti da soli quindi sembrava di stare quasi a casa: cucina provvista di ogni necessità, curatissima in ogni dettaglio e pulita; altrettanto la camera ed il bagno (ovviamente privato) impeccabili. Ci siamo trovati davvero bene e se dovessimo ritornare a Siracusa/Ortigia non esiteremo a riscegliere questo B&B.
Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare in questo B&B per tre notti da soli quindi sembrava di stare quasi a casa: cucina provvista di ogni necessità, curatissima in ogni dettaglio e pulita; altrettanto la camera ed il bagno (ovviamente privato) impeccabili.
