Don't stop on the surface...
Road so so.... condomino so, so so so....

Instead our B&B was a very pleasant surprise.
Once the door is open we find ourselves in a nice well-kept and well finished place.
4 en suite rooms, clean and modern.
Breakfast in a nearby place, however well stocked.
Ortygia 10 minutes walk.

Better to choose to sleep in Ortigia
The B&B building, in a scruffy street, requires renovation.
Check-in takes place via Whatsapp by sending photos of documents. Then by calling, someone will open the door for you, finally you will find the keys in a small box - with a secret code - on the landing. In short, no human relationships, strictly follow the instructions.
The large room has been recently renovated, but the soundproofing has been forgotten: you have the sensation of sharing the room with other guests.
Self-service breakfast, sweet only, set up the previous day, mainly based on packaged and Eurospin brand products (yogurt and fruit juice). Above the counter, a sign reminds you that the setup is exclusively for breakfast: forget the warm Sicilian welcome that can be felt everywhere!
If you like walking, you can reach Ortigia on foot. In the area, it is easy to find free parking.

Horrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs
This place and the host, Silvia, were an utter disappointment and staying there is not worth a single penny. The pictures in the listing were completely misleading and didn’t match the reality. The bathroom smelled on mold. Also the breakfast for the next day was already in the kitchen when we entered the property at 2 pm.
When we complained about the breakfast, the host was so rude and threw us out and threatened us to call the police, although we have already paid the full amount. She refused to refund us even though she didn’t let us stay. Also the host demanded to send our IDs through WhatsApp, which is not GDPR compliant.
I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. This was the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had.

Wonderful
The location is great and the facility is super clean and neat. It ha an elevator (a must for suitcases!!!) the host is very kind and willing to give all information about the wonderful town of Siracusa . It’s very silent and quite. Breakfast is great as well. I definitely will return eventually and I recommend it strongly.

Warning do not book this hotel!!!!
It is a disgrace! There is no markings for the hotel on the door or wall, impossible to find!
We cancelled our booking as we couldn’t verify it was real and they asked for 50% transferred to a random bank account.
Doesn’t seem legitimate to me!
Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.
