Excellent cuisine, impeccable cleanliness and great professionalism in Siena

Strengths
Restaurant inside:
Excellent food quality and unbeatable final bill for the area (106.50 € total for two dinners in two).
Service and Reception:
Extreme fairness and customer orientation in problem solving.
Cleaning:
Room and bathroom impeccable.
In-room amenities: Presence of bathrobes and kettle with herbal teas/coffee.
Points of attention:
Furnishing of room and bathroom functional but a bit 'dated style.
We stayed at the Hotel Executive in Siena for two nights, booking through Trip.com at the price of 301 € for the room only.
Despite not having meals included, we chose to dine at the hotel restaurant for both evenings, a very good choice.
The first night we tried the excellent pappardelle alla Cinta Senese and a pistachio semifreddo.
The second night the quality was confirmed high, excellent tagliolini with basil pesto enriched with burrata and grains, risotto with asparagus and taleggio, the rich taste of pecorino cheese with honey and jams and the cut chicken with baked potatoes.
Dishes carefully presented, generous portions and fresh raw materials.
The total bill for two dinners in two was just € 106.50, an exceptional value for money for Siena.
As for the room and bathroom, the opinion is largely positive, especially for the excellent level of cleanliness.
The room was spotlessly clean and tidy; much appreciated the presence of bathrobes and kettle for tea and coffee.
The bed is comfortable, with padded headboard.
The decor overall is simple and the style (from curtains to furniture) is not very recent, but remains absolutely functional. Particular is the large picture above the bed with a Tuscan landscape and a quote from Jesus of Nazareth.
The bathroom, also spotless, offers a generous courtesy set and a comfortable travertine sink top.
Special praise goes to the management of the reception: at check-out it emerged that breakfast (normally 8 € per person) was not included in our package, despite the fact that at check-in we were told otherwise by two new collaborators.
Once the misunderstanding was verified, the staff apologized and preferred not to charge us.
A gesture of great fairness and professionalism that demonstrates true attention to the guest.
In summary, a great facility, extremely clean, with a professional staff and the great added value of a top-notch in-house restaurant at more than fair prices.
Highly recommended

Welcoming staff, property needs updating.

We stayed one night at this hotel, choosing it as a base to visit Siena. The staff was very kind and helpful on every occasion, and the room was clean, spacious, and equipped with particularly comfortable beds and pillows. The property also has parking and connections to the historic center, which are convenient especially during the day. That said, the hotel clearly shows signs of age and, in our opinion, would need a modernization to fully reflect the current standards of a 4-star hotel. Some details, such as the kettle with paper cups instead of mugs, the very basic amenity kit, and the presence of a tub with a shower instead of a proper shower, give a more dated impression than one would expect.
The breakfast is decent for the sweet options, while the savory selection is rather limited. The self-service coffee station didn't particularly convince us either.
Overall, we didn't have a bad time and we appreciated the staff's courtesy, but in terms of services and comfort, we have found lower-category properties capable of offering something more.

GET OUT OF HERE! Health risk and shameful treatment.

What we have experienced in room 244 of the Executive Hotel is a nightmare of terror.
We booked a triple room. They put us in an extra bed, past the first nine, I lifted the lower sheet off the extra bed, because my daughter told me it was uncomfortable. We discovered it was three old, disgusting, bloodstained cushions, vomiting, obvious dirt. We try to talk to the Director to solve this mess, because one of these things is done with his welcome, the employees do not decide it. The very arrogant said he could do this, that he complied with the regulations, his office in front of our room, he refused to go to see him, it is clear that he was fully aware. Their arrogance and lack of cleanliness have caused us an unbearable anxiety. If you value your health don't go, I go to 4 star hotels trusting them fully, if you don't see it you don't believe it so I leave you photos. It's by far the worst deal and worst conditions I've ever encountered. THEY'RE NOT 4 STARS. In the photos you can identify what the hotel is, we already tried to see from the window the exterior to be considered verified. We slept one night, and we didn’t want to stay, yet Destinia didn’t allow us to issue reviews, because the money was returned. I'm still anxious, I don't want anyone else to go through this. I hope those who give the stars review it, if anyone knows where I have to go please let me know or send these comments.

Not exactly a 4*

Clean room of normal size with basic comforts.
Minibar with 2 complimentary bottles of water but no other choice.
With the kettle, only tea bags (an excessive amount) but no other alternatives (herbal teas/chamomile); I would have preferred less quantity and more variety.
The bathroom had a wobbly seat, and the shower has a non-existent protective glass that floods the bathroom.
Beds with brick-like pillows and mattresses that would require an upgrade.
Noisy. You can hear everything from the rooms to the side and above.
The city view in my case was a ground floor parking lot view. Which, by the way, the parking lot is one of the positive things.
Far from the center, but with a taxi and a little over 10 euros you can get there without any problems.
The staff is courteous and helpful at the reception, less so in the dining room.
