Pleasant surprise
Clean room as well as the bathroom.
The owner exquisite person who has always followed us from parking the bike until dinner and breakfast.
Overall all good.
Would definitely stay again.

Hotel to forget but with a great restaurant
Let's move on to the hotel where I found a lot of negative.
It is a 3 star hotel that has its own history, perhaps one of the first hotels in Scalea.
Assigned a single, this has nice furniture but not suitable for a hotel,
because ethnic furniture; therefore drawers that do not open or with much effort; new mattress yes but on a bed of movable slats of hard wood. I slept very badly. The cabinet has thin and fragile glass.
But in detail:
a) bathroom: noisy fan and so does the toilet. and door to be fixed. For lack of space the hair dryer is placed on top of the mirror! Cleanliness within the norm anyway.
b) Poor Wifi and to connect you have to go near the restaurant.
c) Lack of mini fridge in the room (I saw a couple not connected in the hallway)
d) fire extinguisher positioned at the bottom of a dark corridor and directly on the floor.
and lack of fire alarm signs and escape routes.
e) breakfast: and here is the worst part of the stay. Non-existent or rather if for breakfast in Scalea you intend a coffee / cap with a soft drink and a brioche then we are not there. Agree I was perhaps the only one or with 2 other guests, and then the holder would have done better to give a voucher so that I could have a healthy and hearty breakfast in another place. Breakfast in the morning is a fundamental point of the day; I can overlook the cold cuts (very Nordic things) but the rest must be exposed as yogurt, cakes, bread, butter, honey jams and especially local products such as cedar or orange juice etc....
Positive ? the location for the proximity to the beach and parking inside.
And the owner? Person to avoid, I had a fight with him and ran away a day earlier. I would recommend the owner to take a tour of one of the hotels in northern or even central Italy to see the abysmal difference with "its 3 stars". But if you pass through Scalea go to dinner at the restaurant, it deserves.
