Nice hotel in a great location. The room itself was very spacious. The bed was uncomfortable - it had a topper, but it was very lumpy - not the worst sleep, but really no support at all. There were mold stains on the ceiling near the A/C - I'm sure that's just the intense humidity contrast with the placement of the machine - but it should be treated before it becomes worse. The breakfast which was included had a good variety and was a great touch before going out in the heat for the day. The working area downstairs was lovely. The internet connection reliable. The AC in the room worked perfectly and was heaven sent - especially during our stay as it was over 35 degrees every day. The room itself was surprisingly noisy during the day (you can hear everything through the walls and windows) but thankfully, at night, it was perfectly quiet and we slept well. My husband is particularly sensitive to noise and he also slept well. Would definitely return. If you can upgrade to a room with a tiny terrace - it is worth it!

Nothing like the room in the photos

We stayed for 3 nights. We booked a superior deluxe double room. I am attaching photos from the website and those of the room we were given, as well as how they made the beds one of the days. The response from reception to my first inquiry about whether there was an error in the room assignment, as it did not match the photos, was: I don't know what photos you might have seen, ma'am. They offered to change rooms when I mentioned a code. Later, they showed me an Excel sheet indicating that our room was deluxe, although it had nothing to do with the photos on the website; what does that mean then? The beds were very comfortable, the hotel was very nice. The breakfast was good.

Not for me…

We used to visit regularly when this was Hotel Veneto Palace. It was in need of a refresh for sure but I’m not sure this was it.
Gone are the big ornate faux Italianate furniture and it’s mostly replaced with… nothing. The wardrobe is now a hanging rail. There are no drawers… anywhere. The mini fridge that was inside the wardrobes has just been dragged out of the wardrobe and dropped on the floor next to the desk. The same with the safe.
There’s a desk lamp on the desk but there’s nowhere to plug it in.
The bathroom… you can’t open the door fully. There’s a stopper on the floor to stop the door hitting the toilet pan… it’s THAT tight. The toilet and bidet are loosely placed and you can see the exposed pipework entering the hole in the wall behind.
There was a huge chunk taken out of the sink bowl. The shower area is large but the matt “white” floor is filthy and housekeeping can’t seem to clean it.
There was trash under the bed from the previous occupants and despite cleaners coming in every day of our stay, they never cleaned under the bed.
The walls have been half plastered in a dark grey textured plaster but this hasn’t been done well as there are gaps revealing the white wall behind and so many scuffs where the plaster has come off the walls.
The towels had some stains on them.
Oh and there was a beer bottle cap on the floor under the desk that was there when we checked in and it was still there when we left.
The reception staff were all friendly.
There’s no longer a bar in the property. It’s been returned to the hotel next door which might be a better bet if you’re looking to stay in this area.

Tiny and not even basic

This was the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in. There was no closet at all and two people could not pass by the end of the beds at the same time. Basic amenities like a box of tissues were absent and a hook in the bathroom to hang clothing. When we asked, they said they tissues were not included with the room and that we would have to buy some. The location was very nice and the room was clean. It was not a great hotel. I would not stay there again, unless it was the only place I could afford.

They charge you to store your luggage

I can't believe that after three nights and the corresponding payment, they charge us 10 euros to store our luggage on the last day.
Do we have to squeeze the guests to that extent?
Decent and centrally located hotel, but the image of that detail diminishes its value.
