Great location in Rome

For an event in Rome, we booked a family suite at Hotel Smeraldo, which was located on the 1st floor of the annex. Although the 2 single beds of one of the 2 bedrooms were not wide, the suite was large, had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. It was therefore and convenient for 4 adults, especially the 2 bathrooms, with in a good breakfast and its real ristretto as found only in Italy.
In addition, the hotel has the advantage of being well placed, just a few steps from Place Navona, the Pantheon, the Capitol and the Roman Forum.
Finally, the staff of the hotel was friendly and knew how to respond to our requests.
So I can only recommend the hotel Smeraldo

First visit to Roma

Stayed here for a three day visit prior to our cruise. We had nothing negative to say about our stay. The hotel was pristine and the staff was great. We stayed in one of the two bedroom, two bath apartments. Our family of five had plenty of room and the staff did a great job having it ready early for us. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the hot drink bar was a nice add on. The hotel arranged for a shuttle from the airport, and to the cruise port. I liked the location because it was central to all major landmarks. If you absolutely had to walk to some of them, you could. A/C was great, WiFi was good, and the bakery across the street was a nice one pace to grab something quick. Basically, if I come back to Rome, we will stay here again.

best of the best

Location is outstanding--charming and a short walk to everything. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the staff is cheerful and helpful. But our experience with the night desk agent, Cisar, was amazing. My spouse became ill, and we suddenly found ourselves needing to go to the hospital at 2:00 a.m. Cisar helped us every step of the way. He was calm and caring, and supported us in a stressful and scary situation away from home. He made sure we had everything that we needed to be safe and comfortable. I can't imagine what that would have been like at a different hotel. These are good people, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rome!

Great hotel

This is a great hotel. Small rooms. We booked 2 for our family. Perfect location across from iconic roscoli bakery. The hotel is a 3 star but acts like more. Great breakfast including pastries and bread from the bakery. Helpful staff. Excellent air conditioning…- small think but in the Roman heat it was wonderful. Rome is very hot. Unbearable at certain times of day…it is nice to have a modern system at the hotel. The rooftop is small but cute. Great functional bathroom. Highly recommend. Location is very good. Walkable everywhere.

Highly recommended

So many positives about this hotel!
Great location, lovely staff, the room exceeded our expectations too. Breakfast was really good. The whole hotel had just had a refurb and it’s all been done really well. It felt like a brand new hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
