A nightmare of noise
First you should know that the building is opposite a dual carriageway with 2 lanes so that makes 8 lanes right in front, then the red light is right at the bottom of the window so the cars stop and go, the hospital being just behind there is constant noise from ambulances, the windows are not soundproof and the neighbors upstairs are noisy, we didn't sleep during our entire stay. I asked to change rooms and was told that everything was full, that I could leave and that if the room was re-rented they would compensate me. In short, it's all very blurry!
Otherwise everything is very average, the toilets have a sanibroyeur which also makes a permanent noise, there are stains and scratches everywhere, the bed is not comfortable, the TV has a cable which miraculously holds, bathroom old bathroom with blackened joints, damaged furniture.
Be careful, this is not a hotel, so no one there all the time, no breakfast buffet. The nearest metro station is a good 10 minutes walk away, the bus is ready, but be careful in the evening they are very rare so allow at least 40 minutes to return from the center after 9 p.m.

Wonderful Staff, Clean, Small Room
She also communicated with me by email prior to my arrival giving advise on transport from the airport to the hotel. etc.
The elevator and room were small. But that seems to be the standard with all the hotels that we stayed at in Europe during our 2 weeks stay. The room nevertheless was clean and the bathroom was also clean.
There is a delightful Gelato shop next door. We had Gelato Ice Cream at several places, but the Gelato Shop near this hotel was the best. Also adjacent there is a restaurant that serves Italian style breakfast for less than 10 Euros.
You can also get the local buses just about 20 meters away. The buses run up and down and there are those that goes to the port and main attractions. You can also walk to the Vatican from the hotel, probably take you about 25 minutes at normal speed.
One thing I would say the hotel needs a Sign outside. We were a bit confused trying to locate the hotel when we first arrived because of the surrounding buildings numbering.
Finally but most important, I must say a big thank you to Lisa. She went out of her way to help us catch the train to go to the cruise port. The morning of the cruise we went sightseeing to the Vatican etc. and was a bit late for the bus that goes to the port when we got back to the hotel to collect our luggage. Lisa booked us a train to the port on her personal phone and we were so late she helped carry one of our bags to her car and drove us to the train station to get the train that goes to the cruise port. 'Big Shout Out To Her'. If it was not for her we would of never catch get to the train station on time and we would of miss the cruise.
