Wonderful sea in Pula and Chia.

The location is somewhat decentralized, but still strategically positioned in the center of Pula and along the main route leading to the main beaches. (Nora, Chia, etc.). This is a country house converted into a B&B on the upper floor with three rooms with services, lacking a reception on-site. The three rooms have basic furnishings, as do the services, and air conditioning is available. Essential breakfast, with packaged products, yogurt, and juice, a pod coffee machine, and a kettle, as well as a toaster and a stove with a small pot for milk; no other kitchen utensils are available, in a common area with a single table offering little privacy, located in the kitchen, with a shared fridge, and a narrow terrace with a drying rack for the three rooms and a line for hanging. Size of the room suitable for three people, linen change every three days, twin beds combined for the double room with a wrought iron frame, a third bed of standard size, always with an iron structure, but with a mattress different from those in the double room and not entirely suitable for an adult of decent size. Overall standard that appears not entirely adequate compared to the price, €120 for a triple room per night during this period. There is ample parking in front of the house, which is accessed after a stretch of unpaved road, with a manually operated gate, not locked or electric.

Deceptive Photos and Hostile Environment

We stayed at Sorecanu for exactly one night of a six-night booking before deciding we could not stay any longer. It was one of the most disappointing accommodation experiences we have ever had.
The property was nothing like we expected from the listing. Our room was tiny, dark and felt completely different from the accommodation shown online, which prominently features attractive garden terrace rooms. When walking around the property, it appeared that these rooms were no longer in use. The “double bed” was actually two flimsy single beds pushed together which separated during the night. We have video evidence of this. The room felt cramped, poorly maintained and unwelcoming. The hot water ran cold throughout our stay and there was a noticeable damp smell.
The location was one of our biggest concerns. Reaching town on foot involves walking alongside a busy main road with no pavement and no street lighting. We found this genuinely unsafe, particularly after dark. Had this been made clear in the listing, we would never have booked. The property is far more isolated than the advertising suggests.
Breakfast was equally disappointing. Rather than the fresh and inviting spread shown in the photographs, we found a basic self-service selection of packaged cereals, pastries and budget supermarket products. Another surprising aspect was that all five guest rooms were expected to share a single communal fridge, more akin to a hostel than accommodation costing nearly £500 for a week’s stay. Guests are also subject to strict rules stating that food and drink are “forbidden” in rooms, making the lack of private facilities even more frustrating.
The behaviour of the hosts made matters worse. On the second morning, the owner actively sought us out to demand payment of the tourist tax in cash. Despite insisting on cash, she made no effort to help us locate an ATM. When I offered to pay by card instead, she became visibly irritated, hostile and rolled her eyes at me. It was an astonishing way to treat paying guests.
After leaving, we moved to alternative accommodation and discovered that the tourist tax we paid there was lower than the amount Sorecanu had attempted to charge us. The new accommodation was cleaner, friendlier, more convenient and significantly better value for money. It also handled the tourist tax professionally and transparently.
The most frustrating aspect has been the response from the hosts. They have claimed not to have received a complaint in 20 years of operation. Having read numerous reviews from other guests raising concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, misleading advertising, facilities and location, this claim is simply not credible.
We provided Booking.com with photographs, screenshots, messages and video evidence showing the condition of the room and the two single beds pushed together. Despite this, we were offered only a partial refund after staying just one night and being forced to pay for alternative accommodation.
We paid for six nights, stayed one, and left because we simply could not tolerate staying any longer. We are now pursuing the matter through our credit card provider.
I will be leaving reviews like this one, on every possible platform, until we receive a refund for the 5 nights we did not stay at the property.
If you are considering booking Sorecanu, read the negative reviews carefully before making a decision. We wish we had.

uncomfortable and uncomfortable.

Unwelcoming structure, uncomfortable to reach as it is located near the state road and the entrance of the dirt road is poorly signposted; also to go to the village you have to use the car because walking is dangerous to walk on the very busy state road. Self-service breakfast with snacks and packaged pastries brand discount/CONAD.Breakfast takes place in a kitchen without air conditioning
Old rooms with broken shutters ... however he asked 100€ per night when at the time of telephone Reservation had said 90€.
Very very NOT RECOMMENDED
