Little hidden gem in Pragaleto

Excellent hotel led by Franco. Nothing was too much trouble, and the food was excellent. A few mins from nearest Pragaleto gondola, or 15 minutes from Sestriere up the single road. Walkable to pizzerias and other amenities. Highly recommended!

Great stay in cosy Albergo Passet

This is a super little hotel down the valley from Sestriere. It met every requirement for our family of 4 incl 2 ski mad teenage boys. The hotel was immaculately clean, the rooms very comfortable and the food at dinner delicious. The bus stop to Sestriere is just outside but be sure you work out the timetable in advance or pop into the tourist information in Sestriere for taxi numbers. We managed to get stuck in Sestriere one night and the amazing owner came to collect us. A heartfelt thanks for our stay and going above and beyond for us!

Fantastic for school trip with easy access to Sestriere

Took 34 students and 5 staff on a school trip. The staff were amazing; so friendly, great sense of humour and extremely accommodating. Food was exactly what we needed and students were always full after dinner. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean and tidy. The staff helped us out when we needed assistance and nothing was too much for them. The local area is lovely and picturesque and only a 15min drive to Sestriere. They also had incredible ice cream on sale! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the week.

Extreme friendly staff, very welcoming.

We had an issue or two further up the valley and chanced upon this Albergo by luck and with a little help from a work colleague. Bingo, what luck we had too. Excellent reception by very welcoming brothers Franco and Antonio and their staff, I cannot thank them enough for their warmth and generosity during our week long use of the facilities that they made available to us and dining there was a treat. Simple but delicious food in ample proportions, second helping too if greedy and all served with a smile and a chat (with some difficulty as we can do English, Spanish and some French), they spoke Italian (obviously) and Italglish. Great fun, very enjoyable and most of all recommendable.

A simple hotel with simple food that is simply wonderful

There is nothing outlandish about Albergo Passet. It is a small family run hotel with restaurant and bar and the most friendly welcoming staff. The food in the restaurant is what Italy is all about, simple ingredients cooked well. Within a few minutes of arriving I felt as if I'd come home and was part of the family again - but it was the first time I'd every been! I want to go back.
The décor is simple, but charming. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and comfortable. It had a traditional alpine feel about it.
The hotel is pet friendly, our dog was made to feel very much at home.
The location of the hotel is stunning. It is surrounded by Alps and there are lots of lovely walks with wild flowers.
We stayed on a Saturday night, which meant that we were able to visit the Sunday market, and in particular the cheese man who sold various types of cheese, including the local and delicious Toma cheese.
If you are travelling from France to Italy across the Alps, don't be tempted by the highway, take the time to find Pragelato (45 mins from Oulx), visit, and stayle at Albergo Passet.
