Enchanting and magical place!
We returned to Borghi dell’Eremo where we had already been in 2023. What can I say? It is always magic! Nestled among the rolling Umbrian hills, this resort is much more than just an accommodation facility: it is a true refuge for the soul. The rooms (it is reductive to call them just rooms) are spacious, cared for in every minute detail and obsessively clean, with very comfortable mattresses and a choice of pillows for an ideal sleep. The estate is enchanting and perfectly frames the pool area, which is elegant and quiet: the pool bar is always available to guests with an excellent selection of traditional dishes, not to mention the little culinary treats offered in the mid-afternoon. A separate mention for the culinary experience at the restaurant, exceptional for its raw materials, expertise, and service. As well as the excellent, varied, and abundant morning breakfast: 10 out of 10!
I cannot conclude this review without thanking the manager Riccardo and all his wonderful staff from the bottom of my heart; we would not have had such a good time if it were not for all of you! You pampered, spoiled, and assisted us with every request with professionalism and sensitivity that are rare to find; you should be taken as an example by other perhaps more renowned hotel establishments for your dedication and ability to make the guest feel good... forget two Michelin keys, at least three!

La vostra recensione così dettagliata mi obbliga solamente a dire Grazie! a nome mio e di tutto lo staff.
Spero in un tempo non troppo lontano di tornare con voi a bordo vasca a parlare dell'Umbria, delle sue bellezze e soprattutto della sua straordinaria gastronomia.
Avrete sempre un posto in questo rifugio dell'anima.

Beautiful... but such a shame!
The property is certainly very beautiful: the location is charming, the rooms are well-kept, and both the pool and the spa are pleasant and well-designed.
Unfortunately, however, the service was significantly below expectations and not adequate to the level and cost that a property of this type should guarantee. During the stay, we encountered several issues with orders at the pool and, more generally, a management that was inattentive and unprofessional regarding the needs of the guests (having to repeat orders multiple times that still arrived incorrectly, as well as being allocated to the wrong rooms).
The internal restaurant was also disappointing: the food did not seem up to the context (not to mention that the steak ordered well-done arrived practically raw, as shown in the photo) and one evening, despite having made the reservation through the reception, we were informed that there was no availability (it is already absurd that there is no space for guests of the establishment). After various difficulties, the solution was to push two tables of different heights together, resulting in an improvised setup that was decidedly inappropriate for an establishment of this level.
From a place awarded two MICHELIN Keys, one expects much more, especially in terms of service, organization, and customer attention. The beauty of the establishment is not enough to compensate for these shortcomings. Overall, the stay is not worth the expense.

le ammetto che leggere queste parole è stato spiacevole, ma è stato ancora più doloroso vedere la delusione negli occhi dello staff dopo che si era diffusa la notizia che per la prima volta in quattro anni qualcuno aveva valutato la nostra struttura "scarsa".
Perchè oltre alle parole che facilmente si digitano dietro alle garanzie di uno schermo ci sono persone, che in un luogo piccolissimo e complesso come il nostro si legano in maniera inevitabile agli ospiti che quotidianamente incontrano e hanno il piacere di servire. Dietro all'amarezza però si nasconde la certezza di avervi accontento al meglio che potevamo, assecondando anche le vostre richieste più complesse, i vuoti di memoria e soprattutto trovandovi un tavolo all'ultimo minuto, in una serata al completo (perchè il ristorante è solo su prenotazione), sistemandovi ahimè in due tavoli poco eleganti pur di non farvi aspettare troppo, nonostante il vostro importante anticipo rispetto all'orario di prenotazione. Dimenticavo: servendovi una bistecca al sangue esattamente come da vostra richiesta, come si evince in foto. In questa vicenda però non c'è solo lo sconforto, ma anche il piacere di aver conosciuto il vostro cane Zeus, di lui sarà impossibile dimenticarci. Sarà forse per questa sincera, carnale e sconfinata passione per l'ospitalità che ci hanno riconosciuto per 2 anni di fila le 2 chiavi Michelin? Alle fine di tutto ciò, e come si confà ai professionisti, è da parte mia doveroso chiedere scusa a Lei per non aver saputo assecondare le sue aspettative, ma al tempo stesso rimane a me la soddisfazione di avere un gruppo di lavoro del quale vado profondamente fiero.

Exceptional
An absolutely exceptional experience in a hotel that fully deserves its level of excellence. Everything is thought out down to the smallest detail to make the stay pleasant, with many little touches that really make the difference.
The staff was very professional: warm, available, and attentive from start to finish. You immediately feel considered and privileged.
The breakfast was excellent, with very high-quality products, and the restaurant is simply of a very high standard. A true gastronomic experience, worthy of the establishment's standing.
I recommend this hotel without the slightest hesitation. An exceptional address where excellence is found both in the services and in the attention paid to guests.
The staff was very professional: warm, available, and attentive from start to finish. You immediately feel considered and privileged.

We spent three days and two nights in this splendid property with my family, consisting of five people, staying in three rooms: one Suite and two Deluxe Garden rooms.
The location is simply magnificent: immersed in greenery, extremely well-kept in every detail, and capable of conveying a sense of peace and relaxation. The rooms are also beautiful, spacious, and impeccable. The service is truly high-level: the rooms are tidied up several times a day and the staff is always available to accommodate any request with great courtesy.
Breakfast is rich and varied, with truly delicious pastries and cakes, an excellent savory selection, and the possibility of ordering eggs prepared in different ways, according to the customer's preferences.
One evening we also dined at the property's restaurant: excellent dishes, accompanied by a fairytale sunset that made the experience even more special.
The only two negative notes concern some details that, considering the level of the property, could be improved:
* only four bicycles are available for the entire property, which are also a bit dated and poorly maintained. Being a paid service, we would have expected greater availability and better quality bicycles, especially because we could not use them all together;
* the spa is very beautiful and well-kept, but the sensory shower was not working, probably due to limescale clogging the water jets. This is also a paid experience and not included in the stay, so it is an aspect that, in our opinion, deserves more attention.
Overall, however, the stay was truly excellent and we had a wonderful time. It is a property that we recommend without hesitation and to which we will certainly return.

Comprendo la frustrazione nell'essere riusciti a bucare entrambe le ruote di una sola e-bike, ma questo può essere imputabile soltanto alla sfortuna e a nient'altro.
