Charming house in a village in the mountains

We stayed two nights during a break to Lake Como. Away from the tourist bustle of the area, access is not easy but gives a touch of adventure to the experience. Climb Perledo from Varenna on a mountain road to the car park next to the church of San Bernardo. From there walking 3 minutes through the stone village you reach this charming B&B.
The house is everything you expect, as you can see in the pictures. An old stone house, beautifully restored, decorated with antique objects showing a very good taste of the owners. We were one the top floor room, large and comfortable, especially the bed and its two types of pillow. We rested wonderfully, we were able to use the pellet stove to heat the atmosphere at night, no annoying noise, everything was perfect.
Breakfast was consistent and quality. Served exactly when you order it, with hot crepes, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, three types of fruit, a wide variety of cereals, juice and tea, different types of milk and an extraordinary espresso coffee.
Alessandro, the owner, and his wife are lovely. Very attentive and with high availability through the phone and messaging apps, they gave us good tips to move around the area and were very helpful.
A great experience in short, which we would like to repeat.

Amazing host

Owned by a lovely family who went over and above to try and accomodate us. Some of the friendliest people I have met, made it such a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The accommodation in itself had really cool decor rooms filled with culture and stunning views of the lakes. Could not recommend it enough!!

Mountain idyll and relaxed atmosphere

Absolutely great location up in the mountains. Alessandro and his wife Fabi. (not sure about spelling) were just the sweetest hosts. You could ask them about almost anything. He helped us several times ordering tables at the local mountain restaurant, less than 100 meters away. Very authentic style, good breakfast served outside. The wildest view to Lake Como less than 50 meters away.

Family stay

Stunning place, in a strategic and quiet position. The owners are super welcoming, kind and helpful. Excellent and varied breakfast. Comfortable and carefully cleaned rooms. Highly recommended for the excellent quality and helpfulness of the owners. We were two adults with an 18 month old baby and we also had access to a comfortable cot and changing table.

Absolutely fabulous

Thoroughly our stay here! We were made to feel very welcome. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of Varenna. A car is a must. It’s a very long way down a steep hill to Varenna.
Breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend.
Also the view from the local church is spectacular
