Very welcoming hotel close to the old center - very reasonable rates
The hotel is very old but has been modernized.
We spent 3 nights in 2 stays and in the 2 bedrooms we enjoyed the comfort of the beds and the insulation of the double glazing. The bathrooms were small but functional. The value for money brought back to the location 8 minutes walk from Quattro Canti Square is very good. Small elevator very convenient considering the roughness of the first staircase.

Small room with an uncomfortable small bed and a century old aircondition running right above your head while sleeping.
The interior is from 1576! Right after Columbus explored America. The bathroom is so small that any American visiting the hotel would not fit into either the shower or the toilet. Too bad being fat.
Stay away from this hotel! Sleeping on the street is more fun (and comfortable)

Disappointing experience
I had chosen the property mainly for its relative proximity to the station, but I did not like the area at all: near the Ballarò market, I found it run-down, unpleasant, and not very reassuring, especially for going out in the evening, as well as lacking restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The room was a big disappointment. The bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress appeared dirty. The room door also had problems: it would get stuck and, to manage to open it, I had to pull it toward me every time.
The most serious problem occurred when the power went out in the building. In my room, no emergency light worked and, without electricity, the air conditioning did not work either. After pointing out that I could not spend the night in those conditions, I was moved to another room.
Another unpleasant episode was the air conditioner remote control, which at a certain point could no longer be found. I was asked where I had put it, implying that I might have moved it myself. Subsequently, in the room I had been moved to, I found two remote controls, so evidently the remote control had been moved during the room cleaning.
Breakfast was also very disappointing: no buffet, just a small tray with pre-prepared sweet products, no savory alternatives, and coffee and cappuccino from an automatic machine, which I personally found really unpleasant.
