An oasis of peace and charm in the countryside of Modica.
Breakfast, both sweet and savory, was truly excellent, served by attentive and very kind staff in the room with a view of the pool.
A truly strategic location for visiting the beautiful baroque architecture of the Val di Noto area and for reaching beaches with crystal-clear waters by car.
A special thanks to Alessandro, who also shared his past experience in Veneto (we are from Verona) and then the story of the renovation of this charming establishment.
Thank you and goodbye.

Underutilized potential
We stayed in a quadruple room with two double beds: the room was very spacious and equipped with a functional kitchenette. The cleanliness was decent, even if not particularly thorough. We also encountered the presence of some lizards in the rooms.
The breakfast was very good, abundant, high-quality, and with several homemade desserts. The property's restaurant is also a strong point: unique, sophisticated, and truly very good cuisine. It is a shame, however, about the lack of variety in the simpler lunch options: for those looking for something quick, the alternatives were practically the same every day, mainly salads. Consequently, to have more choice, it was necessary to leave the property or cook for oneself.
The property is immersed in the countryside and is certainly a small oasis of tranquility, ideal for those looking for relaxation. Parking availability is also good, and the kindness, courtesy, and helpfulness of the staff and the owner are excellent.
Unfortunately, however, there are several aspects that left us perplexed. First of all, the smell coming from the surrounding pastures is often very strong, to the point of making it difficult, at certain times of the day, to enjoy the outdoor spaces and the pool.
The pool did not seem particularly clean to us, and the chlorine was very strong, enough to cause skin irritation. Furthermore, the lounge chairs were not sufficient for all the guests, and there were only four umbrellas. The situation was further penalized by the entry of outside people, who used the same lounge chairs intended for guests.
We also found the management of access to be inadequate: gates and doors remained open, allowing free entry into the property and even the occasional entry of stray dogs. We love animals, but these could approach guests freely, even coming into contact with people who might have allergies or simply not want this type of contact.
Finally, the bar and reception close for several hours during the afternoon: from about 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, no services or vending machines are available, and the property therefore remains without direct assistance. For those who decide to spend the entire day at the pool, this time slot is particularly inconvenient.
In conclusion, the property has excellent potential: it is beautiful, quiet, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is excellent, the restaurant is high-quality, and the staff is very kind. However, it would need more organized management and greater attention to maintenance, cleanliness, security of access, and the services offered to guests. With a few more adjustments, it could truly become an excellent place to stay.

Great hotel off the beaten track
Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and a lovely setting, and the evening meal in the restaurant was also very nice. It is worth noting that dinner needs to be pre-booked before 12:00 each day, so plan ahead if you want to eat on site.
The resort is also in a great location for running, with some excellent routes nearby and beautiful rural surroundings. The only areas that could be improved were the Wi-Fi, which was very slow in the rooms, and it would have been helpful to have a kettle available for boiling water.
Overall, a great stay and somewhere I would happily recommend.

Light & shade - the system would have more potential
Plant has unfortunately come of age. The bathrooms in particular seem to have remained where they were in 2016. It's dirty, mold on seals and and in the corners. Strange stains on the floor covering in front of the toilet...
The reception (Stefania) was very friendly. You try to do everything right.
Our room was really big and nicely decorated. The small kitchen (in the closet) is really practical. Unfortunately, the items are sometimes conceded far too high.
Pool looks great and is clean. Pay-as-you-go seem neat.
Highlight is the breakfast offered. There are many fresh foods, eggs, fruits and vegetables. Fresh bread and cake. By Sicilian standards more than good.
The service is very attentive here. I would say there is nothing to improve here.
With some compromises I would still recommend the resort. Because overall it is really authentic here. The historic complex is overall very nice.
