It was a nice clean hotel with good staff. Easy to get to. Good parking. The area around the hotel was okish.

The description says “In the heart of Lucca's historic center.” It is not but about a 15-20 minute walk from the start of the walled city. Not too far from the train. Location is ok but nothing charming about it. The front desk staff were very pleasant. The room could have had stronger air con but it was ok despite the 92 degree weather. The Wi-fi was incredibly slow. The room and bathroom are very small. Could have used more towels. The bed is very hard so not too comfortable. The hotel was ok but nothing special.

The hotel was quite a walk from the city. Good minibar top up. Bathroom was nice. But no plugs for straighteners and the bathroom had the only mirror. Main room also had limited plug sockets.
Reception staff were nice.

Poor customer attention

Business hotel located at the highway exit.
There is free parking available for guests.
The room and common areas have outdated decor.
I also note the late check-in time (3:00 PM).
I would have expected, since I arrived before the check-in time, that the receptionists would have offered me another room already prepared or at least urged the cleaning staff to proceed to clean the room assigned to us first; instead, nothing: we waited in the lobby for an hour and twenty minutes (with people who arrived after us being calmly given their keys after checking in).
It is not mandatory to assign the room before the time, but traveling a lot, I must confess that it has rarely happened to me before.
The room lacks the amenities that a 4-star hotel should provide to guests, for example, slippers.
Ordinary breakfast but with the possibility, unfortunately not taken for granted, of requesting coffee from the bar.
Low price and it would be missing something else, considering they are far from being a true 4-star!

Great hotel, excellent rooms and about a 15-20 walk to the walled city. Would definitely recommend.
