Very charming and professionally run guest house.

Very charming and professionally run guest house. Great location in this beautiful medieval town. The mattress was good, the hot water was very hot, and it was remarkably quiet given that it’s in the centre of town. The communication was excellent. We would have liked a kettle so we could make tea and coffee.

Fabulous

A great, central place to stay. Modern inside, rustic outside. Great host. Fabulous rooms and bathrooms. All was exceptionally clean, great linen, fridge in the room, wifi, and heating and a ceiling fan. Private and secure. Couldn't ask for more.

Perfect stay

Me an my girlftiend stayed for only one night but Paulo did everthing he could to make this an unforgetable stay! The location is right in the middle of town, so don't try to drive your car there ;) Give Paulo a call and he will pick you up at the main parking lot!

Good spot

We stayed 1 day. Location is perfect, center of old town. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Room is small (which is normal) and enough for short stay...
Note: if you go with car, buy parking ticket from enterance of Erice, 5€ per week, else hourly rate is 1-1,5€.

The perfect pitstop

We arrived to Erice in a medieval fog at around 8pm. We did not have a place booked and we so we parked up and found our way to the door of Antico Borgo. After calling the number on the door, Paolo quickly came and met us, advised us where to park, gave us a map, and showed us the room.
There is so much charm about the place that it is hard not to smile, and we were happy to stay.
The room (the triple) is huge, the decoration is thoughtful, and it has everything that you could need for a night.
The bathroom for our room was downstairs, yes, but it is huge, the shower is great, and the smart ventilation means that when you get to drying your hair the dampness is gone out of the room.
We had asked for restaurant recommendations and just a few doors from Antico I had the best insalata de polpo of my whole stay in Sicily.
The next morning we had our breakfast next door in the bar/cafe, which is probably my only complaint, as it was a (no choice) chocolate croissant & coffee, but it was very good as they go, and there was entertainment among the locals as they passed in and out.
As for Erice - what awaited us as we went out into the maze of sunny streets was truly amazing..
