Great experience!!

We were greeted directly by Chef Vissani and part of the staff with a courtesy and a truly unique kindness. Very elegant and welcoming place. We took a full menu and it was a really great experience. Started with Panicale Bison Tartare really great as well as tripe. Fettuccine all’Alfredo with black truffle is also good. Well-cooked dishes with excellent raw material and important thing without ever distorting it. Finished with a millefeuille ... amazing. Congratulations to the chef who came several times to visit us at the table and we very much appreciated. Very prepared and kind all the staff. Pamper yourself from start to finish. Starry stop

Cozy room, furnished in a very original way. We opted for the local menu and I must say that we were pleasantly impressed by the presentation of the dishes, as well as the excellent quality of the raw materials. For a star, in my opinion the “territory” formula works great. Super recommended

Golden hour

We booked for the Golden hour aperitif, the setting is amazing with a stunning view across the lake. The cocktails were very nice as was the whole experience. The course were all presented beautifully, the service was very good.The singer was amazing, she sang the whole time we were there and sounded beautiful.
Good dining experience in a beautiful location.

A hidden treasure of Italian gastronomy close to Orvieto

To find it it's not easy. You have to drive carefully from the highway ( get off at Orvieto) to Todi and at some point ( km 6.600) you will se a gate and a shy signboard saying: Casa Vissani. You ring the bell and you enter in an enchanted place. For the first moment the staff will take care of you at the top. Only 7 amazing rooms. The highlight is the restaurant where chef Gianfranco Vissani cuddle you with gourmet courses. The place deserve at least an overnight, may be more if you want to visit the surroundings

Esperienza straordinaria in una location eccezionale

Sono fortemente in difficoltà nel recensire questa esperienza gastronomica fatta con un menu degustazione in questo ristorante stellato . A pochi chilometri dall’uscita autostradale di Orvieto vicino al paesino di Baschi sul lago di Corbara c’è questa struttura ampia con parcheggio, camere ed un grande area per il ristorante. Dietro questa ‘ Casa Vissani ‘ ( la casa completamente innovata sorge al posto del ristorante paterno che è passato allo chef nel 1973) si avverte una ricerca del bello un continuo abbellimento ed un vero progetto di accoglienza, che ti fa sentire a ‘casa’ ! Complimenti! Personale attento cortese e per nulla affettato . Tutto il panificato è fatto in casa , caldo croccante e veramente buono dalla sorella dello Chef. Un benvenuto rappresentato da un tortellino con ripieno di tacchino e aragosta su vellutata di ceci ha dato il via ai piatti di portata . Notevole il risotto zafferano purea di piselli e pancetta finemente tagliata croccante , un secondo di carne più scontato , buoni i dessert .
Vini di spessore e all’altezza dei piatti .
La presenza del Maestro è la ciliegina per genuinità , simpatia e tanta tanta professionalità.
Il viaggio ( da Roma in circa un’ora e qualcosa) vale veramente la pena !
PS Bellissime le cucine a vista !
