Cocoon in the Heart of Barbaresco

CASA BOFFA is a great cocoon in the middle of a hectic tourist village. Once sleepy, now crowded, but still oozing with charm and history, Barbaresco is centrally located to enjoy Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato in the heart of Piemonte's iconic wine region. Laura, Carlo, Gabriele and their team do a great job making guests feel at home so they can enjoy the breathtaking view of the vineyards, Tanaro River, and Alpine landscapes to the west. Being able to park onsite is a huge plus. Highly recommend.

After 1 week golf holiday in Gavi and 2 weeks ago holiday on Lake Maggiore we spent 6 days in Barbaresco.

We spent 6 nights at this winery and were totally delighted. The double room with a small vestibule with TV and fridge (room 2) was very large, clean and the bathroom with shower fully met our expectations. The Boffa family was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great by Italian standards. The highlight, however, is the terrace with an unobstructed view of the wine landscape of Barbaresco. We always enjoyed an aperitivo here in the evening and always got some cheese, salami and ham. The wines are excellent and the value for money is top. Of course, we took some supplies (e.g. Magnum) with us at home. Points for “Casa Boffa” from us.

Stop with rest in Barbaresco

Visiting Barbaresco area we stayed at casa boffa.
It turned out to be a great choice, well-finished rooms and spacious owners very hospitable and full of attention.
It has a beautiful terrace overlooking the valley really remarkable, they are also producers of a very good wine.
If you happen to be in the area I recommend it

weekend in joy

Ideal for those looking for a weekend of relaxation and good wine. The kindness and sympathy of the owners makes you feel like family. Excellent tasting with cutting board and the expertise of Mr. Carlo makes it clear when work is also passion.
Great location, clean and well maintained rooms. Well-stocked buffet breakfast (even for the intolerant). Breathtaking views of the vineyards (although "at rest" given the period).
Highly recommended as a couple or like us with friends

Correct but no character, very cold and clinical

This place is all very clinical. Well situated in the village. Room correct and clean but without character. Breakfast fine, with nice lady in charge of the breakfast room, but nearly everything in packets, individual servings so not very inspiring. At no point were we asked if we wanted to view the cellars, taste their wine. We had the impression there was no passion for the accommodation side of their business and we were a bit of a nuisance. The whole reception area was locked up when we went out for dinner at 8pm. So no one to ask about restaurants (there was info in the room but no info about opening hours and everything I googled seemed to be closed). Finally a wine bar that was just closing told us where to find the only restaurant that was open. If you were staying here outside of summer time with friends there is no where to sit with them. We were very disappointed.
