Top location, elegant and relaxing atmosphere, clean rooms with comfortable mattresses and comfy beds. Excellent value for money.

An Amazing Stay at the David Citadel – Exceptional Hotel and Wonderful Staff

An Amazing Stay at the David Citadel – Exceptional Hotel and Wonderful Staff
Our stay at the David Citadel in Jerusalem was truly wonderful, and overall, our experience was exceptional.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is incredible, and there is something special about the atmosphere from the moment you arrive. But what really stood out to us was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The level of service throughout the hotel was outstanding.
After long and busy days in Jerusalem, it was wonderful to come back to the David Citadel. The common areas are beautiful, the hotel is extremely well maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. It really felt like a special place to stay while visiting Jerusalem.
There was only one significant issue during our stay. We were in room 945, and unfortunately, the mattress appeared to be broken or damaged on one side. It made sleeping quite uncomfortable, and I was not able to sleep properly.
I did not report it while we were there. Between jet lag and very busy days, I was simply too exhausted to deal with having someone come look at it or potentially changing rooms. I certainly don't fault the staff for not addressing something they didn't know about. In fact, based on the exceptional service we received everywhere else in the hotel, I have no doubt that had I brought it to their attention, they would have done everything possible to resolve it.
I mention it now because I hope the hotel will check the mattress in room 945 and replace it if necessary so the next guest doesn't have the same experience. It was really the only negative part of an otherwise amazing stay.
Aside from that issue, I cannot say enough good things about the David Citadel. The hotel, the location, the atmosphere, and especially the people were fantastic. The staff helped make our time in Jerusalem even more memorable.
I also want to give special recognition to Nawem A. Sway, who helped us toward the end of our stay. He was incredibly helpful and kind, and the way he took care of us was another great example of the exceptional service we experienced throughout the hotel. We truly appreciated his help and wanted to make sure he was personally recognized.
We left with wonderful memories and an overwhelmingly positive impression of the David Citadel. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning.

Breakfast service was great, especially Said

At every breakfast we would ask Said to make us something and when he comes back we ask him to make us something else and he did it all with a smile. Breakfast service was wonderful especially Said!
Said was so nice and friendly and helpful and great with the kids. We really appreciated all of his help.

David citadel is my home away from home

Hi! I just returned home after my 8th stay at the David Citadel and it never fails to be wonderful! The rooms, service and hospitality are superb. I’d like to give a shoutout to Munir- the hotel manager for always making sure when I arrive that I have what I need……Waleed, Mutaz, Said, Sameer and Saed and everyone on the staff- whether it’s breakfast or dinner in the exclusive restaurant Veranda. I’m always taken care of like a queen. Thank you to Jeremy Weiss and Ilan- the concierge. I constantly bothered them from taxis to matches to candles! Every response is with a smile and with grace! Please forgive me if I left out some names! You’re all special to me!!

Great Family Weekend

We had a wonderful family holiday at the David Citadel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding.
A special mention to Muhannad Keresh, who looked after us during the meals and really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. His warm and attentive service made a great stay even better.
A fantastic hotel for a family holiday in Jerusalem, and we look forward to coming back.
