Excellent boutique hotel close to Old Jerusalem

Everything was perfect, cleanliness, welcome, location and little plus snack breakfast hung on your door every morning. No 24/7 reception but direction can be reached by phone if needed. An underground parking nearby, expensive but convenient (count 120 NIS for a day, if not cheaper a few minutes walk)

Shameful behavior, refusing to give back in times of war.

Disgraceful and cynical conduct by Stay Jaffa (Stay Hotels).
This booking was made specifically and exclusively for staying in Jerusalem during Purim.
In reality, the situation became a full security emergency: active war conditions, strict Home Front Command restrictions, and the complete cancellation of all Purim events in Jerusalem. Reaching the city was not reasonably possible.
In other words, the purpose of the booking was entirely frustrated.
Despite this, the hotel flatly refused to refund the payment. Instead, they insisted on offering a voucher — as if this were a casual change of plans rather than a force-majeure situation affecting public safety.
This is not “policy.”
This is absolute disregard for reality, basic fairness, and customer responsibility.
Anyone considering booking should be aware:
When an actual emergency occurs, there is zero flexibility, zero accountability, and no meaningful customer support.
The matter is now being reviewed through relevant consumer-protection and payment channels.
Extremely disappointing and damaging to trust.
Shameful, cynical and rebellious behavior by Stay Jaffa of Stay Hotels.
The invitation was made solely to stay in Puri Jerusalem. In practice – war, strict instructions from the Front Command, the complete cancellation of all Puri events and the actual inability to reach the city.
The deal is completely corrupt.
The hotel refuses to refund money.
Instead of acting with minimal fairness, they hold on to the customer’s money and offer an irrelevant “broken” as if it were a capricious cancellation rather than a security emergency.
It’s not politics – it’s total ignorance.
It’s not keeping rules – it’s ignoring reality.
Whoever invites here should know:
Actually, there's no consideration, no responsibility, and no one to talk to.

Good location, apartment in good condition but there is a lot to improve

Great location, it is important to note that not all rooms are the same, only some have an oven and a stove for those who need it.
Clean apartment but poor maintenance.
The balcony was partially broken.
The toilet inside is broken, there are no household services every day so if you get stuck without paper or expectation you're in trouble. The elevator doesn't get to the first floor because the button is broken and not repaired. Communication only on WhatsApp is very uncomfortable because you don't always answer, which is also that the reception in the second building is not available 24/7, and it's a pity.

It was so bad we were not able to stay

It was so bad, we did not stay and booked the Ibis across the street. The A/C was worthless (it was 95 degrees outside), bedroom had a full bed and not a queen bed (as described in the booking on their website). The wardrobe had broken doors that had fallen on the bed, and the room smelled like sewer and had mold on the walls and peeling paint all over. The bathroom faucet was not attached to the sink. We are not picky, but certainly we cannot stay in an apartment that smells like sewer and is 85 degrees! Other travelers have complained in the reviews about the smell. They did not respond to our WhatsApp messages asking to be changed rooms. We went to the office and tried to work with management but they said the had no other available rooms. We said we wanted to leave and they refused to provide any refund. We are disputing charges with our credit card company.

so bad

Good location but everything else is really bad.
Windows are not sealed, wind comes in, there are stains on the sheets, the smell of mildew.
Customer service does not exist at all.
They tried to move a room, but it was a worse room than the previous one, without a balcony and it was listed with them as having a balcony. In short, they have no idea.
Be careful not to be impressed by the pictures, this is a place that needs to be closed
