The Perfect Spot
Dromoland Castle is a superior place to stay. The room was clean, bed comfortable, amenities were amazing and the tub is phenomenal. The food is delicious and the staff are all so great! They remembered our preferences and allergies from breakfast to dinner and they always ensured you were happy with your meal. The grounds are beautiful, highly recommend the free bikes to tour the grounds. The history of the grounds are everywhere and we loved reading about the different aspects of it. The Dromoland tea blend is SO good. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Fabulous Experience - staff, property, activities
We just returned from a family trip to Ireland, and one of our stops was Dromoland Castle.
It was an outstanding experience, one that will have us returning in the future for a longer stay.
The staff was exceptional, among the best we've ever experienced. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculate.
We dined at the Fig Tree restaurant on the property, and had an outstanding meal, again with great service for our party of 9.
Highlight of our trip was the Falconry activity. Our 3 children were absolutely thrilled, and enjoyed it tremendously. Special thanks to Sarah our Falconer.
If you ever get the opportunity to travel to the western side of Ireland, don't miss this place.
It was an outstanding experience, one that will have us returning in the future for a longer stay.

Highly recommend
Spent 1 night here at the end of our 7-day trip as we were leaving from Shannon the next day. The property is amazing - it was the perfect end to a great vacation. We did the falconry experience which my family loved, had drinks outside, and fantastic meals. Great vibes and the staff are all so friendly. Highly recommend!

An Authentic Castle Stay with Exceptional Service
Staying at Dromoland Castle is more than checking into a luxury hotel—it’s an opportunity to spend the night in a genuine Irish castle. We stayed in one of the tower suites, which turned out to be an adventure all its own. Finding it meant locating a somewhat hidden stairway around a tight hairpin turn and then making the climb up a steep, winding spiral staircase. It certainly isn’t the easiest room to access, but honestly, what would you expect from an authentic castle? It only added to the charm and made the experience feel even more unique.
The room itself was full of character while still providing all the comforts you’d expect from a world-class property. Every part of the castle beautifully blends historic architecture with modern luxury.
What truly set Dromoland apart, however, was the staff. During our stay, my wife became ill for a day, and everyone we encountered showed genuine concern and kindness. They repeatedly asked how she was doing, offered assistance without hesitation, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their compassion and willingness to help transformed what could have been a stressful situation into one where we felt truly cared for.
Beautiful grounds, exceptional service, and an authentic castle experience make Dromoland one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed. We would return without hesitation.
For Golfers, Golfing at Dromoland Castle was an unforgettable experience. The course is beautifully maintained and offers a great balance of challenge and playability. The castle setting creates an incredible backdrop for every hole, and the facilities are first class. A fantastic experience for golfers visiting Ireland.
