Fresh food, good quality and decent portions

We have eaten in The Auld Triangle a few times now and have been very happy on each visit. The good is great quality and freshly cooked and portion sizes are generous. The staff are very friendly and very helpful which is great as we have two small kids. Keep up the good work and hopefully you can keep buying good quality food.

The Auld Has Been.

The veg which accompanied my roast beef- it smelled like bilge water, and the cauliflower had a gritty consistency. So I ate no veg. We ordered one portion of chicken nuggets and chips for our children to share but two were dropped down, which increased our bill. The pints of Guinness tasted fizzy. I won't be in a rush back.

Don’t stay if you want to sleep

We booked this B &B for St Stephen’s night as attending a wedding the next day in Loughrea and this was the only place available. When I booked I was told that the bar would be closed and that suited us fine. However the bar was not closed when we arrived and there was a band on. TBH it didn’t really bother us that much but, was surprised to see ear plugs provided and left in the room. The music was so loud the floor of our room was vibrating and I am NOT exaggerating! The ear plugs did not work but it is a pub so to be expected I guess the music stopped about 1.30-2 and the another hour for everyone to leave…when we eventually feel asleep. What we didn’t expect was to be then woken at 8am with loud music being played by the cleaner! But that is what happened! Our guess is they wanted everyone out so they could get on with the cleaning..as we couldn’t sleep that is what we did showered and left!
Note: The room has no hairdryer or iron and you can’t borrow one either. The room has no toiletries.
Room was cold but when we asked for them to put the heating on they did and they provided us with a free bottle of water.
The shower was small but the water is hot and the room clean
I know it’s 3 Star so some of the above is not always going to be available good nights sleep should be a given it’s not! If you don’t mind not having sleep this is the place for you!

First time to visit but hopefully won’t be my last!

Celebrated a family occasion here yesterday . The food was AMAZING!! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The Malteser cheesecake was incredible as was the rest of the meal . I just think that the cheesecake deserved a special mention.
