A great B&B with country charm near Kinsale.

This is a very nice and updated B&B. The room was spacious and comfortable. The owner made us feel welcome and at home. She gave a very good restaurant recommendation in Kinsale; tasty and affordable. She also prepared a very good breakfast for us. The location is close to town with countryside views including cows in the neighboring pasture. A great atmosphere and a quiet change from the hustle and bustle of Cork, Cobh and Kinsale. I am keeping this B&B in my address book.

Do not stay here and BEWARE OF DOG!

Terrible experience. The hosts were both quite unfriendly. Not welcoming at all. I felt like we were burdening them with our stay. Beware of the dog. I tried to enter the kitchen to give them my voucher and was bitten by their dog twice drawing blood. The door was not marked "private." The host acted as if it was my fault the dog bit me. If I could give 0 stars I would. Also, this place is very difficult to find.

Very good

The lady who welcomes us is shy but very nice and sweet. Very welcome, very nice room and very clean. Nice breakfast. A good place to land one night. Quiet house. In addition the town of Kinsale is very nice to do.

Good performance

Quietly in the countryside near Kinsale, we enjoyed a clean and well-proportioned room with good quality bedding and an adjoining bathroom, all very clean.
Very decent breakfast (Irish or continental). Discreet and friendly hosts.

Disappointing

This was our first B & B experience, and it was disappointing. The host was friendly enough but didn’t say much. Since we were newbies to the experience, it made it a little tough. The location is super far out from town center so it was not convenient for hanging out, especially if you don’t want to drive into town. Breakfast was delicious, so that was a plus and the room had a private bath. However, the shower wouldn’t work, and we didn’t feel like we could ask the host for help..
