Sexually assaulted and told it was my fault.
I was asleep in bed and woke up to a man on top of me with his tongue down my throat.
The guys in the room stopped him and made him leave the room after it happened and the next morning me and my friend went to tell the manager what happened.
I had experienced her being quite rude and blunt before hand but didn’t think much of it and gave her the benefit of the doubt that she might be having a bad day.
To my utter shock after my friend left she said to me well this is your fault and then asked are you going to complain me online seeming more concerned about the hostels reputation than me actually being sexually assaulted.
I think she thought I was drinking because other people in the hostel were but I hadn’t been..
She said that I wasn’t aloud to extend my booking and even though he wasn’t aloud to extend his booking either he wasn’t made leave so if I was to still stay there I would have to make the conscious decision to stay in the hostel with these people..
Obviously because of this I wanted to get out of this horrible place. I asked when I was supposed to book out because I’d like to book out earlier and was met with complete aggression. You are not aloud book in again is what she said when in fact I never asked to book in again. I asked to leave early.
She shouted at me that I had to get her the key which I never lost or didn’t have in the first place. It was as if she was trying to make up something to argue with me over when I hadn’t done anything wrong.
I don’t understand how this place hasn’t been shut down.
The lady’s reaction to everything was insane considering I managed to remain calm given all that had happened me. She seemed incredibly angry at me which did not seem valid at all. I’ve never experienced something so wrong in my life..
Even other people in the hostel were questioning how anybody could be so irrational. Needless to say I won’t be going back and I do not recommend it to anyone..
