100% recommendation from our family, welcoming, efficient staff members, convenience location, and 4* Hotel Quality Apartments.
We stayed as a family of 5 people, staying 11 nights with an 11 year old boy and grandparents.
The staff that we met welcomed us with true hospitality, which was both kind and efficient.
My parents have already travelled all over the world and have deemed this holiday to be the best one ever.
The apartments are conveniently located for the town and Muckross House. The shuttle service bus to town is a wonderful consideration if you would not prefer to drive.
The apartment itself is well maintained as per the photos and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including towels. The beds are extremely comfortable, I would say 4* hotel quality and duvets are also very clean. Everything supplied in the apartment is in excellent condition.
My parents tremendously enjoyed the INEC events, and there is music to suit all ages. My son enjoyed the swimming pool, tennis, the par 3 golf and the teen club, there was an event where he made a tie-dye tee shirt and summer hat. Again, we noted that the team organisers with the children were very enthusiastic and kind.
We cycled a lot and felt that the location of the apartment was advantageous as it gave us scope to visit numerous locations using the well-ordered and safe cycle lanes.
We will definitely put The Gleneagle Apartments on our priority list to return soon and recommendto all who are considering stay in Killarney.

Horrible room and unwelcoming staff.
Absolutely horrible experience. Several gnats and other flying bugs were found dead or alive lying around the kitchen/living room area. In one instance when me and my friends went to go get new key cards when we were locked out of our apartment, the front desk woman named Lucie was incredibly rude and impatient with us and snickered and called us names in front of us. She was impossible to deal with and insulted our intelligence. Never again would i book an experience here. Power went out several times in only our apartment and we got no help for hours ob end. Unwelcoming staff, terrible apartment. Would never recommend.

Great place to stay, will go again!
Stayed here with my parents in an accessible apartment. Apartment was way bigger than expected, so we had plenty of personal space if needed. It was spotless, and had all mod cons. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, cereal and muffins were a nice touch. Parking was right outside the door. For some reason the nights we stayed were extremely good value. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely appartments.
The pluses: Lovely spacious appartment. 3 ladies stayed. Lovely view of mountains. Clean, warm, spacious and comfortable. Washer/dryer and dishwasher also. Hairdryer available aswell. One bedroom double bed other room had 2 singles and was unsuite with shower. Bath and shower available in main bathroom.
Minus: lighting for makeup application was awful, had to be by window for daylight application. ( i wish this would be considered when designing hitels abd appartments ect..) Lift broke after first night. We had a lot of luggage and one of the party has a plate n her spine so couldn't bring luggage down a stairs and i suffer with bad sciatica. Staff literally ignored my pleas for help, even the supervisor which I asked as her staff said they were too busy to help me. Supervisor said she couldnt help either so i asked if someone could come over from hotel to help and told No they dont do that. She came back few mins later and said she would now ask hotel for help ( go figure) .Anyways, I'm still waiting for that person to arrive. So 5 trips later up and down stairs to 3rd floor i left with no sign of any help.
So overall the stay itself was great but appartment staff NOT helpful atall. No apologies either for lift still being out. I would stay again but would request ground floor appartment and go with no expectations of appartment staff if u run into problems. I guess the service is different for hotel guests compared to appartment guests. I docked a star for staff, otherwise I would have rated it 5.

Muffins in fridge but no jams or butter or milk like before all in a very good break stayed there for years twice a year
