Until the next time…

Eliz, (once again) very warmly accommodated myself , husband , 3 boys & our fur baby whilst we came “Home” to visit family after what felt like an eternity of Covid restrictions. She welcomed us as if we were her own family. She is an amazing host, so good that often I thought there may have been two of her.
We arrived very late evening and so only really expected a snack of some sort but the meals that was produced for our family & 3 more guests was absolutely faultless. The best smoked salmon starter with a side of the specialty bread was second to none as was every single meal to follow. Eliz just always manages that little bit extra, even the children just couldn’t figure out why the chocolate at breakfast was so good, again, it’s just that little bit extra.
The rooms are luxurious, clean, spacious & oh so quiet. The showers are powerful. The beds are so comfortable, the best hotel beds ever! You just will not want to get out of them but the breakfast & coffee is so good you just have to haha.
The little bar “Coburns” is just so cosy and snug. The fire lightning, a beautiful ambiance & great company it’s the perfect little place to enjoy a night cap or many.
It really did mean the world to us how Eliz welcome us all and made our stay as perfect as we expected it to be.
Don’t hesitate to to book your stay here, you won’t be disappointed.
Until the next time…. X

Awful avoid at all costs

The worst service I have received in my life. would never return. Food served late and owner abusive when questioned about it. She made our stay thoroughly uncomfortable. Avoid at all costs, there are much better hotels in the area

My take away

Rushing home from a very busy day i decided to treat myself to a fancy take away....
Popped into the lawrance hotel and was met with a lovely friendly lady..
I ordered a fish &chip to go and lady offered me a coffee while i waited.
Beautiful cappuccino arrived free of charge!! Elizabeth is the owner and i have to say we certainly hit it off with a grand chat &giggles.
My fish&chip.....well holy god it was so good!
Came with lemon, mushy peas and the most gorgeous tartare sauce...
I thoroughly enjoyed it
Will be back for sure to sit in the beautifully decorated outdoor area soon.

Top Class

The Lawrence advertises itself as a luxury boutique hotel....& it really is!
We recently spent a fantastic weekend in the Lawrence as part of a family celebration & we were all blown away by the quality of the hotel. Liz and her staff were so attentive and welcoming & nothing was too much of an ask...I don't think we heard her reply "No" once during our stay!
We had an evening meal & breakfast during our stay & both were top class. The rooms indeed are luxurious as advertised & incredibly comfortable. They are also positioned at the back of the property which ensured a great night's sleep.
I write this a few days after our stay but I can honestly say that family members are still raving about the incredible food, hospitality & welcome they received at the Lawrence. If you're looking for a luxury stay at a reasonable price then look no further.

Christening

My family recently celebrated the christening of our grandson, Féidhlim, Gearoid and Orla's son, in this little gem of a hotel.
From the moment we stepped inside this beautiful, small luxurious hotel we were treated like royalty or more precisely like family.
The proprietor Liz, could not have been more helpful, attending to all our needs, even pre-empting those which we hadn't yet considered.
She was especially attentive to those amongst us with small children ensuring that suitable arrangements were in place for their needs- even coaxing a toddler to finish his dinner with the promise of an ice-cream treat.
The food was first class, we were served a tasty, classy 4 course meal the likes of which I have rarely experienced. The breakfast was just top class - scrambled/poached eggs like I've never seen before, served with avocado and topped with crunchy peppercorns and garlic bread.
The brown bread was delicious.
The bedrooms were beautiful, nicely furnished with very comfortable beds.
We were made to feel so welcome throughout our stay and couldn't help noticing how hard - working Liz, the owner, was, so hands on and attentive to all our needs.
I would definitely recommend this small, boutique hotel, full of pleasant surprises, to families looking for a friendly, high class experience at a very reasonable price for the service and attention on offer.
Thank you again Liz
