Good

Very near to morning star church, stayed in a non ac room for 700₹ booked via cleartrip. The hotel manager Selvam is a retired army man, knows multiple languages including all South Indian languages, Konkani, English and even Hindi. He looks after the guests very nicely. I’d say I’d go there again given the warm hospitality I enjoyed.
Also, in case you’re travelled by bus/ train, there is an auto driver C. Ayyappan (knows multiple languages) who was introduced by Selvam to us who made our travelling easier.

Bad experience

This hotel is very very Bad for couple and family. There is no space for parking, don't ever hand over your key to these guys. They don't have proper driver to handle the cars. They broke my car number and did not even acknowledge.

Unsatisfactory

I booked this hotel on Cleartrip. I booked two rooms as we were 7 in number. We waited at the reception center for more than half an hour as the room we were to be staying was unvacated. The attitude of the receptionist toward us was not good. The male attendant's behavior and dress code was the worst I had ever seen. The room was sterile but the bathroom was unhygienic. We were deprived of some amenities like a coffee maker and an extra bed on demand. The hotel is fully clean but unsafe at night. We could hear loud sounds of shouting while we were sleeping.

Bad experience

Currently staying. Just booked in for a night. The room had torn towels, dirty bedsheets. Leaking taps in the bathroom and lizards in the room. The room was booked on cleartrip where we were told we would get Wi-Fi free but even on repeatedly asking for the Wi-Fi password we are not being given it saying that the boss is not there. Water also was charged for. Ideally it would have been better if we could get at least two bottles free. There was a male guest who was roaming in the main corridor with only a towel wrapped around himself making it uncomfortable and leaving female guests like us feel unsafe.

Comfortable stay

Stayed here three times in 2014, 2015 and 2016 in the month of May and June. Rooms are fine and quite comfortable compared to other similar properties in Velankanni. But could not stay this year as the rate was enormously high.
Anyway recommend this property as a comparatively clean place in Velankanni.
