Breathing views!
We had a two night’s stay at The Planet Munnar as part of our Kerala tour. It is a beautiful property with breathtaking views of the misty mountains. A perfect location to relax and unwind.
The stay was comfortable and the food was excellent. The rooms can be updated slightly to give them a more modern refreshed look.
A special mention of the entire staff who went out of their way to ensure we received the best service! Keep it up!

Delightful Experience
I stayed with my family at The Planet Munnar for a couple of days in September, and it was easily one of the most premium resort experiences we've had in the region. Nestled in Suryanelli, far from the hustle and bustle of central Munnar, the property offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by breath-taking natural beauty.
The resort is immaculately maintained and thoughtfully designed, blending aesthetic charm with modern comfort. It’s located on the lesser-explored yet stunning side of the Munnar–Idukki region, making it ideal for travelers seeking serenity and scenic richness. Nearby attractions include the iconic Kolukkumalai, Phantom Hills, and Anairankal Dam, all accessible along the Munnar–Bodimettu highway.
Our room overlooked lush tea plantations and rolling hills, and came with a balcony that made views truly memorable. The room was very spacious & well maintained with an ample sized bathroom in comparison to traditional sized hotel rooms. The food was consistently delicious, and every meal felt homely yet refined.
The hospitality deserves special mention. The staff were unfailingly polite and responsive, and the property offers thoughtful amenities like a kids’ playroom, swimming pool, campfire evenings, and even a guided trek to Phantom Hills for sunset view—included as part of the package.
A heartfelt thanks to Vineesh, who manages the property with genuine care and attention. His personal involvement ensured that every guest’s needs were met with warmth and efficiency. We also had the pleasure of meeting Sunny Sir, the owner, whose kind gesture of checking in on our comfort added a personal touch to the experience.
By the end of our stay, we were left wishing for more time—and without a doubt, The Planet Munnar will be our go-to destination for future visits to Munnar.

Beautiful stay with excellent service
We stayed at The Planet Munnar for three days and had a wonderful experience. The accommodation was comfortable, and the views were absolutely stunning.
The staffs deserve a special mention — everyone was extremely friendly, kind, and always ready to help. The food was delicious, and compliments to the chef for the quality and taste. The only small suggestion would be that the portion sizes felt a little on the smaller side.
One moment that really stood out for us was when I accidentally left my phone in the hired traveller during our day trip. One of the staff members immediately went after the vehicle and personally retrieved my phone for me — an act of honesty and care that we will never forget.
Overall, a wonderful stay with warm hospitality. We would happily recommend this resort and would love to visit again.

A very pleasant stay
We only stayed here for one night. The hotel is in a very idyllic location in the middle of tea plantations. Not far away is the tea factory, which we also visited.
The altitude of about 1700 meters ensures a cool climate.
The hotel room is spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff is very friendly helpful and endeavoured. Hence full score.
The nearby mountain peak invites you to enjoy the sunset above. Unfortunately, it rained here, so this program item fell into the water.
Nevertheless, it was a very pleasant stay.

My idea of bliss!
Planet Munnar was amazing! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Perched high on a hill in Munnar overlooking tea plantations - waking up in the morning sitting on the balcony looking at the view was magical. The room was large, bed comfortable and room & resort spotlessly clean. The food was excellent. The staff were professional and friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them. Sitting in the gazebo by the pool talking to Sunni was a very nice way to spend an hour. They can arrange sunrise / sunset trip, trekking, jeep safari and more. Dancing around the fire at night with other guests was great fun. I can’t wait to return and see how their further improvements & gardens progress.
