Amazing staycation…… had a great time with hotel darshan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pathetic service at Hotel Darshan in Ooty

The service is pathetic and the manager is extremely arrogant. I stayed for a day at Hotel Darshan in Ooty primarily because of its location. The room had major issues with used bedsheets and dirty rooms. The bathroom had water issues such that boiling hot water was coming out of the tap. When we complained, hotel staff suggested to keep the tap opened continuously. Firstly, its utter wastage of water and then instead of fixing it, they are telling to keep the tap opened only. We got to know later that other rooms also had same issue.
When we checked out, there was a 3 hours gap between our checking out time and our train. I had a working day so I requested the manager to share common wifi password as there was no network on my phone. The manager told now that you have checked out, we don’t provide wifi password.
Seems the hotel is not bothered about anything or anyone but is just running the business to make money without giving consideration about guests.
I wouldn’t be back at this hotel and can’t recommend anyone to book this hotel.

Awesome Stay at Darshan

Just walking distance from ooty lake.
Premium rooms have a cute balcony and others with a beautiful common lounge - all overseeing the beautiful Ooty lake! The view from the rooms as well as the open dining terrace is mesmerizing.
Hotel and resturaunt staffs are extremely polite.Its a veg restuarant but serves very delivious food..
Must stay….

Great Hotel, polite staff, uncooperative reservation executive for own benefits block the rooms and wont issue one

Im a traveller. Love to explore different properties and share my experience to help others find the right one in google and goibibo and Darshan Hotel was on my next list.
The only reason I have given 1 rating us because of the reservation lady named "Swati".
I booked for two premium rooms elite package. Rooms are pretty decent, tidy and good customer service by the staffs. This rooms was from 16-18th sept. Having decided to extend one extra day, I tried to make the extended bookong for 1 more day from 18-19th sept. I saw two premium lake view rooms available. While I tried to make the booking online suddenly 1 of the rooms vanished and showed the option for 1 Premium and 1 mini suite room. Having discussed the matter with the reception guy who was very polite he needed to help us out and called up SWATI. She right away denied on having the premium rooms available. Unfortunately I booked for 2 mini suite rooms which are on the 2nd floor.
Once this was done, I vaguely checked online on goibibo and these PREMIUM ROOMS SHOWED UP AGAIN FOR TWO OF THEM AVAILABLE. I was shocked and rushed to the reception and showed them the same. The guy called up SWATI AND SHE DENIED OF HAVING ANY SUCH ROOMS. WHILE I HAD ALL THE OPTIPN TO BOOK TWO ROOMS WITHOUT HAVING TO SHIFT DOWN WITH MY OLD AGED PARENTS, OUT OF NO EMPATHY, I WAS DESISTED THAT ROS WILL NOT BE GIVEN FOR THE PREMIUM ROOMS INSPITE OF HAVING THOSE AVAILABLE.
Shifting from 6th to 2nd floor was a hassle with my old aged parents. I requested as MUCH POSSIBLE, SPOKE TO GOIBIBO BUT I was desisted to proceed further. Apart from that one preium room was offered out of no where then and later on 2 more rooms were given provided I pay Rs 2200 extra. Why ?
I COULD HAVE GOT THOSE ROOMS FOR A CHEAPER PRICE CONSIDERING IM A PREMIUM MEMBER OF GOIBIBO.
SO BASICALLY, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT EVEN IF I HAVE A VALID BOOKING VOUCHER WITH ME, I WOULD BE GIVEN SUCH ROOM AS INTENDED.
DARSHAN HOTEL IS VERY BEAUTIFULLY LOCATED IN CENTRAL OOTY. VERY MUCH RECOMMEND, HOWEVER BE SURE OF THE BOOKING.
MINI SUITE ROOM WAS NON REFUNDABLE, OTHERWISE I HAD OPTION TO CANCEL AND REBOOK THE PREMIUM ROOMS OR CHOOSE ELSEWHERE.
INSPITE OF HAVING 2 PREMIUM ROOMS AVAILABLE, I WAS TILD EVEN IF I HAVE A BOOKING STILL THE ROOMS WONT BE PROVIDED.
VERY DISAPPOINTING AND DISHEARTENING TO SEE NO hearful gesture.

I can comment on it as excellent

The hotel gave us an Excellent service, hospitality is adorable, housekeeping staff are too good to be appreciated, ambiance is very scenic and the hotel is very close to the river which is one of the main attractions of ooty, altogether it was a super stay .
